Machine Grey 46G is one of Mazda’s state of the art finishes designed to complement Kodo design, using its Takuminuri paint technology. Mazda says, “This color gives the impression that the vehicle’s body has been sculpted from a solid steel ingot.”

i have so much trouble trying to match this color. How many coats to get the right match? I;ve tried 2 and lighter coat further distance but it still doesnt help.
I spray sikkens now, from old shop we had axalta. There's absolutely no way they got coverage on 2 coats, sikkens can't cover anything video is clearly edited lies. Axalta products 1 coat and done no worries. Akzo Nobel product, I just got done their advanced paint course, recommended 5 coats on colours. Really bad paint system, poor coverage, tons of wasted time and on flat rate that's a piss off. Instead of pulling more jobs in and making more money, your eating up time painting and drying so many extra basecoats when you should've been cleared already.i would not recommend sikkens paint to anyone. Paint ain't cheap and you use way more. And tone is money and you lose allot of time
@@AJsHotRodsNrepairs man, you are 100% correct. The past two months with this system has been s complete nightmare compared to ppg. This is the worst, every color is a mismatch. 95% of time is wasted spraying on spray cards. Management won't switch out if this system. I can't make money. 2 other painters came and left after 2 months because yes most of the tike were standing there waiting for paint to dry. 2-3 coats doesn't cut it. It's reduced down so much with their water system. Where ppg envirobase, we did not even mix water reducer in at all. I have the skills of 6+ years but in canada we need a red seal or it is preferred by employer to have in order to make some money. I hope I can find a shop that'll give me flat rate without certificates.

@anthony71571 that's crazy. Really? I'm only at 30 cad flat rate. Averaging 300-400 hours man. Other painter of 20 yrs is doing like 400-600
