It’s amazing how similar our tastes are, my top 3 games of all time are: Resident Evil 4 - I had a similar experience where I rented it just based on the cover (the red cover with the chainsaw guy in the woods, I think it was the PAL version only) so I had no expectations and it blew me away The Last Of Us - Just wow, along with Rudy, this is the most emotional experience I’ve ever had with a game Metal Gear Solid 3 - Didn’t play 1 or 2 as a kid but this had the most creative boss battles, love the jungle setting, it was amazing
It is so awesome to hear you two talk about the love for Metal Gear Solid. I played the game when I was 6 years old and it took me months upon months to beat it! I felt like I was on an island as kid with this game as most of my friends were N64 and my PS1 friends didn’t play this game. When I would try getting my friends to play it…none of them had the patience to sneak around and it was hilarious to watch! I wanna see more metal gear content from you two!
1:03:00 you talk about LoU being the only game that really made you feel emotional. I’ll never forget crying actual tears when Dom died in GoW3 . Just because those 5 years of Gears was so special experiencing that story and then Dom going out the way he did, really was emotional.
I'm not sure about the most important games for me, but here are my ten favorites: 10.) Shadow of the Colossus (2005) 09.) Hitman: Blood Money (2006) 08.) Dead Space 2 (2011) 07.) Alien: Isolation (2014) 06.) God of War 3 (2010) 05.) Batman: Arkham Origins (2013) 04.) Metal Gear Solid (1998) 03.) The Last of Us (2013) 02.) Resident Evil (2002) 01.) Silent Hill 2 (2001)
The Most Important Games I've Played and Why *Super Mario 64* My very first video game. *The Sonic Franchise* (My first sonic game being Sonic Rush for the Nintendo DS) Made me love games other than just Mario. *Breath of the Wild* Made me love other genres than just platformers 2D or 3D. *Portal 1&2* My introduction to PC Gaming. *Shadow of the Colossus* Showed me games can be something more than just games but experiences. (1/3) *Half-life 2* Showed me games can be something more than just games but experiences. (2/3) *Ori and the Blind Forest* Showed me games can be something more than just games but experiences. (3/3)
I really enjoyed the livestream format for a Top 10 and the conversation. I've subscribed to Rudy's channel (already subscribed to Cody's) and will definitely be going through your other ones.
God of War 4 would probably be my number one especially if I ranked by the years kinda how Rudy did. I have two sons, but back in the day I was in the navy and was deployed when my oldest was a baby pretty much til he was 2. I hardly knew my son and we're very different people. When GOW came out I always loved the older ones. GOW2 was my favorite up to that point. Anyways I play it and you see him grow and understand his son and raise him and they bash heads and I just related to it so much. At the end of the story when they spread her ashes and Kratos just looks at him and you can see the pride. I felt that in my soul. Anyways like Rudy did with TLOU with his daughter I did with my oldest.
Think list is great and always tailored to your own experiences but for me final fantasy vii is probably the most important game in my life it was the first game I played that made me go hey games can be more than just a fun distraction u could tell a movie like script and story mixed with great gameplay and characters
I like what you said about how when you picked up that controller it’s like your were born for this, Cody. And when you play with your daughter you get a little frustrated trying to teach her. I’m literally going through ps4 sonic colors with my girls, 4 and 8. There’s just too many buttons on these new controllers. Lol I think that’s the difference.
I personally believe that all these games should be in an official magazine or world record or how the thing works or whatever of important games of all time I believe that your guyses choice for those games is honestly perfect. Besides Super Mario Land and Atari Star Wars that I didn't really understand
Good video guys bit seriously stop slagging off modern gaming, it seriously is just as good as when you were kids if not better, if the games you are playing do not feel innovative and genre defining you are looking in the wrong places, I mean just look at splitgate released last year which is the first ever time travel based arena shooter with RTS elements and it could arguably be defined as an entirely new genre of shooter as my description does not do justice to just how uniquely it plays

Cody and Rudy killing it once again. Love all of the other streams that you guys have done on Rudy's page! Peace
Thank you! Rudy is awesome.
My top five are:
5. Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag
4. Shadow of the Colossus
3. Spider-man PS4
2. The Last of Us
1. Uncharted 2: Among Thevies
I agree with Rudy on number one. TLOU transcended interactive storytelling. And it is one of the reasons why I adore video games
Thank you.😀
This has been one of my favorite videos to watch guys. Thank you

Hahahahaha it's all good. I had never heard of Super Mario Land actually.
@@CLGameChamber It's not a very good game, nor is it a significant one. So it's not a big deal lol

Man I’m loving the gaming channel!
Plus anything with Rudy wins!
I wanna see top a 10 Metal Gear Solid boss battles from all the games with you two discussing it
Great idea
You, Rudy, CP, and Bryan been killing it on YT, shoutout to ya'll 👍🤘
Great stream guys! So many of the games you mentioned were such a huge part of my childhood and teen years. Takes me back!
Really enjoyed this video guys. You guys have great chemistry. Both of you, please just keep putting out content. It’s great. Stay safe my friends
So neat to see two completely different experiences of gamers growing up in different eras being compared!
I got that reference bro 32:00 (Billy Madison)
🤣🤣🤣

I subbed to Rudy. Cool dude and great story teller
Super Mario land never came out on snes? It only came out on Gameboy.
He meant World
@@CLGameChamber ahhh OK. Thanks

Super Mario Land was my first Mario
Game I Owen ! My first system was the Sega Master System
Awesome work mr Cody and Rudy
For me call of duty modern warfare 2 on Xbox 360
Wondering where Goldeneye is ranked on your lists
42:35
how is halo not here, inspired the biggest genre of game, thrusting the genre into an intuitive system and controls with online play
Because it's not one of my most important video games
