Wow that thing is CRAZY fast for the price of it 🔥 looks like loads of fun! Range issue definitely needs fixed right away, at those speeds to lose control is deadly
Hi, signal loss - I saw another UA-camr have problems with the ESC resetting when driving on a track, resulting in the car stalling. In this instance definitely not a range issue. Perhaps esc / motor getting a little too warm and causing a reset? You had the perfect speed environment and the crashed ended testing; for most ‘beautiful peeps’ losing signal at speed is likely to be much worst running on roads or car parks; lots more things to hit!
Yeah I think any car hitting anything sucks. I myself have very little money as I cannot work, so I understand the costs of this hobby and the hurt when something goes wrong. It seems like the factory on the UA-camr version made a mistake in bending the antenna and it was tied to the servo wires. Customer copies will be fixed. So the UA-camrs are doing the testing to ensure you "beautiful peeps" get a fully working, sorted car. I personally have has zero ESC issues. Cars runs fine except for the antenna issue.
I know. I panicked and shouted power.... Uhm.... 😂😂😂 And the problem was solved. The factor had bent the antenna and strapped it to the servo and receiver wires which messed up the signal. So no problems at all! 😊👍🏼
Some interesting things from this vid for me. The CF version has the extra cooling fan. Coupled with the one on the ESC (which sits right next to the receiver), is there potential for radio interference at longer ranges. Could it also be BEC or brownout related.. might stick a glitch buster in mine and take things steady till I get a feel for any range/cutout issues. Lastly, Iim curious about the optional side fins with no wing between them. I'd be interested in hearing from someone who knows about aerodynamics what effect this has. Thanks for vid as always.
Hiya Jason. The issue has been sorted already. The factory had bent the antenna and strapped it to the servo and receiver wires which messed up the signal distance. I have seen rc cars with 4+ fans without issues. However anything electrical can cause interference as you know... Concerning the wings, I am like you. I would love go know the effects. I've followed f1 since 1994 and remembered that the centre body fin (along the engine cover) shark fin, was to stop air coming off either side of the car and mixing together before hitting the rear wing. These on this car keep the air on the small rear wings, stopping it pouring off the edge, and therefore giving more downforce. Unlike Rlaarlo, I mounted mine a little further back with this in mind. But it would be nice to hear from an expert. 😊👌

Cables were totally separated. Tried everything. I do not believe in this "RC cheap China" company. I have now, no singnal lost with DX5pro and various Spectrum receivers. Personally, I would put a dumborc or radiolink RC4GS/RC6GS in it, as there range is more or less as far as the eye can see.
RCexplained has done a actual range test in a video named: "Range Testing the Best Inexpensive RC Speed Run Radio - Radiolink RC6GS V3"
Have a look in the box the car came in, you got a bag full of spare parts, you might have the parts to fix it
Hello mate. You are right. I found out afterwards that there is a spare wheel hub which is great. I will record the repair video tomorrow and check for any other damage. Have a lovely evening. 😊👍🏼
Kinda important to have long range signal with a dang speed car. Major fail. Seems they consistently make ALMST amazing RC.
Good morning. Problem was the antenna was bent and cable tied onto the servo wires. Simple mistake by the factory and a simple fix for the customer cars. The transmitter and RX are actually DumboRC as Rlaarlo went to them for their expertise. This is why I was disappointed in having the issue. But as its all sorted now, there should be no issues. :-) Have a great day.
Stick a Domborc in it mate.!
It IS a Dumborc. Rlaarlo have been working with them. So it turns out the factory just bent the antenna and cable tied it to the servo wires. Hence the loss of signal. I dont expect any more issues from now.
Count your lucky stars the battery is intact and didn't eject during crash, otherwise the Fire Electrical Services will have to be deployed and a big cleanup bill!
Well I wouldn't say it would be so dramatic, however the fire station being next door means we wouldn't have to wait long. 😬😬
it's a dumborc controller that folks hold in high regard
Well I guess it's now a good time to put foam tires on.
Ha ha! Nah its all good! 😊👌😁 These tires have a carbon belt to stop ballooning and they work fine. 😁👌
@@JohnRobinsonRC ok, I did not know that or I forgot ✌
The crash was not a small one but this is the second knuckle (or whatever it is called) that I saw breaking with such a crash. Even in the other yt video all electronics cameoff loose (not a big deal). Hope that this does not mean that the plastics are a little bit too brittle, but on 4s this crash was not a small crash espesially head on. Nice video as always!!! The best so far for this car. I think you desrve free replacement pars from Rlaarlo :)
Yeah the fact that only the wheel hub broke shows the quality of this car. The plastics arent brittle. In fact I am glad it broke as it disipated some energy. But at that speed and its the only thing that broke.... Wow. I think electronics coming off the tape isnt an issue either. Well impressed with @rlaarlo
@@JohnRobinsonRC hi John keep up the good work. You deserve more views. Keep moving on.
Thanks mate. Yeah more views and subs would be nice but it's in the hands of the UA-cam gods and the public. Have a great day! 😊👍🏼
@@JohnRobinsonRC have you ever considered scale rock crawling rc videos. Malta is an ideal spot for scale rock crawling. I think it would boost up your viewings. Dont get me wrong its just a suggestion. I would think about it.
@@dejanplays2009 I've done a few crawlers and the videos haven't done well buddy. I thought they would but didn't unfortunately. It's like I would have to have just crawler videos to get that audience. Not all channels can have moth types unless they are large channels.
Dumbo is normally good isn't it?
Yes for sure. And the problem was solved. The factor had bent the antenna and strapped it to the servo and receiver wires which messed up the signal. So no problems at all! 😊👍🏼
@@JohnRobinsonRC oh, OK. Good to know. Thank you.
i feel u john...the signal lost makes ur car do suicide....😂....hope next time will get to see it full speed....if u have...try using foam tires....and compare the difference...😁
Yeah I will try foams for sure.
The problem with low signal was solved. The factory had bent the antenna and strapped it to the servo and receiver wires which messed up the signal. So no problems at all! 😊👍🏼 Have a great weekend. 😊👍🏼
🤔add a lipo to the controller
Yeah second time I heard this in the last week. But the problem has been located and fixed so hopefully no issues now.
@@JohnRobinsonRC 🤔
Dumbo says 500m singnal but it is very depend on environment and other interference. I used Dumbo RC in XO-1 and had signal lost 2per hour on small onroad track. Then i tested on Typhon 6S on dirt track and had 5-6 signal lost in one hour. Different Dumbo Transmitter or receiver not helped. I have two transmitters and 6 receivers. Cables were totally separated. Tried everything. I do not believe in this "RC cheap China" company. I have now, no singnal lost with DX5pro and various Spectrum receivers. Dumbo is good only for riding hobby model around the house. Sorry but it is not serious company for make radio. Rather choose cheap Futaba, F3Px. Or Sanwa or Spectrum. When driving in this speeds. It is not only reason i ordered only roller version :-)
You should race the new fsr GT. That thing is fast cost $560. @fsrgt
4s, with stock gearing 80mph, even before i watched the video.
lets see if im correct.
Oh... So close! Nice guess though. ☺️👍🏼
@@JohnRobinsonRC 😁
almost.
Yeah 80 mph wasn't a bad guess at all. Well done! ☺️👍🏼
