Promotional video for the GMD-Forschungszentrum Informationstechnik (German National Research Centre for Information Technology) in St. Augustin near Bonn, ca. 1995.
The research centre was founded in 1968 by the Gesellschaft für Mathematik und Datenverarbeitung (Society of Mathematics and Data Processing), and operated until 2001. It now houses the Fraunhofer Institutes AIS, FIT, IMK, and SCAI.
In retrospect, the video is prescient in predicting videoconferencing, home office and remote collaboration.
