Nice little tour of Huntingtower - quite a well-known, yet not often visited castle! I really urge you to return to Perth in the summer, as those gardens are award-winning - and if you walk over the Railway Bridge, follow the path up to the Dundee Road and turn right, just opposite is the entrance to Branklyn Garden, which is maintained by the NTS. Better still, the path that runs up the hill behind it takes you to the famous viewpoint on Kinnoull Hill, whose woodlands make for a delightful walk at any time of year.
You're right! Think we need to visit Perth in summer ☀️ Would like to visit Branklyn Garden as I've heard quite a bit about it and we do enjoy a wee walk-so I'll put Kinnoull Hill on my list, too. Thank you for your suggestions-they're much appreciated😊
We flew up to Edinburgh airport and took the train to Perth a few years ago. We stayed in a lovely guest house run by a Glaswegian lady who was very friendly. I remember the riverside walk you did. We also did Stirling castle and I think it was the Bannockburn heritage site(?). Oh and we watched a football match at Dundee United. All in all a great few days.
Sounds like it was a brilliant trip! And Perth is a great base to explore the surrounding areas. ☺️ Haven't been to Bannockburn yet - but it's on my list.
I think a few places in Scotland use the ‘Gateway to the highlands’ title? Stirling uses it and I think Inverness has something similar. I ended up staying in Perth accidentally a few years back when I was working at T in the Park and my B&B near the site was double booked, so Perth was the nearest place I could get accommodation. Didn’t see too much of it but it was quite nice
There are definitely a few places using gateway to the Highlands 😄 Double booked? Good that you managed to get a place in the end! Yea, Perth is actually really nice.
Thank you!😊 Stairs aren't the easiest when you're scared of heights🤣 Also, would like to mention that I've been using your product for a few months now and it's been great for editing! 😊
Nice city is Perth. I visited the Black Watch Museum about seven years ago with my cousin as his dad was a soldier with the Black Watch, we found his name in the records, a very interesting place. Great vlog guys....wine rack 🤣🤣. Like 33.

That's amazing that you managed to find the name of your cousin's dad.
Haha yea, you never know when you find a 'wine rack'😆😂
it wasn't a wine rack, it was for doves to nest in, a 'doocot"
Could have guessed it wasn't a wine rack 😀
