I watched the Manchester gig. Ive followed Phil/Genesis around the world, and WORSHIP him/them. I left the arena in tears....great show but we are losing our legend.
i have to admit, the two singers doing what was on the studio versions and never done live, including added vocals on the big finish, that was quite nice!! it compensate for the lost of double drums on the set
Yes, his singing has noticeably improved from the 1st few shows. He must've worked out some of the kinks he had earlier with his voice the way it is now.
Genesis' drum parts are really hard. Especially earlier prog stuff of course. Nic is playing really well. I'm not a drummer myself but I think he does his dad justice.😉
Afterglow sounding like it did in the 70s...brilliant...just could of done with some pink at the end...everyshow since 81 until 2007 which i have seen had pink...just saying 🤭
A bit of a carcrash tonight! It reminds me of Amy Winehouses last performance. Very sad as Phil is clearly unwell, and needs to stop as this is not how we want to remember them.
I don't think it makes great watching back in the cold light of day but being there was little short of a spiritual experience, at least for yours truly. I'm personally so glad they've reconvened for one last throw and even moreso that I was at this gig to witness it first hand. Viva Genesis 🙏🏼
@Carl Klinkenborg I'm just making the point that being there offers a different experience to, as you say, a few lowish quality online videos. At least it did in my experience ✌🏼
@Carl Klinkenborg We're hearing the soundtrack of our youth play out live, one last, glorious time. Although Phil is clearly struggling, I can understand why people would CHOOSE to pay good money to capture a bit of nostalgia. Obviously, you can do what you wish with your hard-earned money.
At last, someone who's not tone deaf. Pretty much every song is keyed down to the point where they sound terrible. Afterglow used to sound majestic. Here, it sounds like a funeral march.
Down the road on the same night we had Nad Silvan murdering Genesis songs but at least we had Hackett being the God he always is and Aisle of plenty. Retail standards maintained! This is Aldi Genesis and parts are out of date😒 If it was any slower theyd be in reverse or is the sound slowed down? Phil should have manned up and admitted he’s not up to it any more. Bloody awful. Someone had to say it.
Not keen on Nad Sylvan, but Steve Hackett was on top form when I saw him up in Edinburgh and he’s surrounded himself with some excellent musicians who know how to keep in time! I suspect that Banks et al have been a bit jealous of Hackett getting all the accolades for his Genesis revisited tours and may have played a tiny part in them playing again. I wish I could have afforded to see Genesis this time but I couldn’t be bothered. I’m just glad I saw them in their prime than this shadow of what they once were.
Respect.

And that thing they similarly do for "Invisible Touch," amazing to hear that done live.
Excellent performance from these best band ever .
2021 Genesis and Phil still THE BEST. Thank you so much for this video.
Phil is getting better. Respect for this icon of prog rock

What a band, decades of amazing music,Chapeau to them, especially Mr Phill Collins.
i was at this show absolutely awesome again
..from genesis to apocalypse!!..
Siete Grandi, grazie di esistere.
How good does cinema show sound here...got it turned right up...mike,tony and nic nailed this classic 👏👏👏
Despite this being so reverbed and slowed, this version of afterglow is actually awesome. I can’t wait to see this live!
It being slowed down makes it more of a reflective song.
This song very very harmonious....
Afterglow was so slowed down, thought it was coming to a standstill at one point !

Try speed 1.25 for Afterglow guys....Three Sides Live tempo restored!! It's a pity one has to do this like....a real pity!!
46 lat Afterglow. DALEJ SYNISTA
Hope they come to México
Not quite how I would like to remember them, but even in this state Phil is a far better singer and drummer than I’ll ever be.
Nic was a little to fast for uncle Tony in a part of Cinema Show (1'33")😉🥁🎹
He was faster in Birmingham I think. I notice improvement in his playing)
I heard that as well and went and listened again..One or both of them were off LOL...Nik is 21 and tony is 70,so I get it
Genesis, smoke, lights and afterglow...will never be bettered...should have finished with some pink though 🤔
I’ve heard more enthusiastic crowds at the circus. You guys ok over there?
Tony???
tangled fingers

Compare this version to that on the superb Seconds Out album. There's no comparison, the 2021 version sounds awful.

I want to remember the guy for giving it his all at 70 instead of moping around dreaming of the past.

@Carl Klinkenborg It's their swansong, I can only urge any fans of the band to treat themselves to this one last opportunity ✌🏼

This is simply pitiful ... I am sorry to those fans sticking by them no matter what , but this is just bad . 😢

Just horrible, PLEASE STOP PHIL, PLEASE
