I don't understand tho. You could def argue that the fight was stopped slightly early but with Alex getting the knockdown and landing in full mount (and Jiri saying that the fight was over and it definitely should have been stopped) it doesn't make any sense to me how Jiri won.
I’m not even going to bother watching this clickbait. But Sean Strickland did not deserve to fight Israel Adesanya in the first place. Dricus Du Plessis deserved to fight Izzy. He instead won the belt over Sean’s ass and now gets to defend it against Adesanya, who deserved to fight DDP as the champion to begin with. Sean Strickland got KO’d by Alex Pereira, easy. Then Alex Pereira got KO’d by Israel Adesanya in their title rematch.
Adesanya > Pereira > sean.
Where DDP fits into all of this we will find out soon enough. But let’s not create a narrative about Izzy being inactive when there are actual statistics and history to disprove that. His activity was ruined by a fluke booking in Australia vs a guy that had already been knocked out by the guy that Izzy had already just knocked out in the fight before that one. Lol. Adesanya outside of the ring is a the cringiest clown, but he was an active champion that was about to clear out his division twice or sumn so i think that it’s fair he gets his title shot after so many main events he’s headlined
