Thank you for sharing a couple of your favorite Bibles with us, SherrieBee. The biggest con for me with the Quest is that it isn’t available in the King James Authorized version. In fact, you rarely review KJV bibles. 😢 But there’s lots of videos out there that do, so all is good. I recently discovered The Defined King James Bible that I’m really enjoying. It contains a comprehensive listing of all the Scripture verses that have been changed, added, and deleted from all the modern translations and the motives behind those actions. It’s nice to have those facts handy when people ask me why I’ve been using only the KJV for all 46 years of being saved. I really enjoy watching your videos and listening to your sweet accent. This video started my morning off right, Sheree! You have such a delightful personality and make me smile : ) So many of the points you made really resonated with me. I'm 56, and feel like my memory doesn't serve as well as it used to; which can make it a struggle to memorize Scripture. But I LOVE what you said about "Knowing it right then in your heart." Even if you can't remember it next week or next month, for that moment in time, the LORD knew your heart. That's such a comfort, Sheree! I'm also not in a hurry anymore to read volumes of Scripture. I want to take my time, and savor each and every word. It's funny how we change as we get older. Even in my sewing and crocheting, I don't want to do quick projects anymore...I want to take my time and enjoy the journey. I love the Quest Bible for that reason. Rather than read pages and pages, you can spend a long time on each page, reading the notes and study helps. What I like the most is the way they "ask" the questions in the notes...that way you know immediately where in the text they're referring to. I don't know of any other translations that have that format? I find it really helpful. And finally, like another commentor, I would love to know where you find your used Bibles? I don't collect salt and pepper shakers or spoons, but I do collect Bibles! Praying your day will be blessed, as you have made mine

You are so right. We do need to do what we are called to do. I’m 41 and after I turned 40 my memory is like a bucket with a hole in it. It can’t hold anything for very long. You have a great witness. Love your honesty. I’m laughing with you not at you. I’m thankful for you.

Thanks for talking about the memory thing, I’m 50 and i hate that me memory is not what it use to be. I also saw that picture on Facebook with the old lady just enjoying what was going on and taking in the moment while everyone else was busy with their phones, and trying to take pictures, etc. That picture had a really good message! You are so right, I have been stressing because i cannot remeber what i have read in the bible, some people can quote books and chapters but i can't and i do have Dyslexia and people have told me the bible will be too hard for me, so i got the NIV bible and i love it i just cannot remember alot of what i read but for that moment im.happy, I also am.not sure on how to study my.bible, i dont know what i should be writing down or how, Do you have any advice please ? I think its easier to study a smaller book like Philippians, James, Ephesians or Galatians and just take my time and read. Anything that stands out I highlight or write my thoughts in a notebook or sticky note. Scripture writing plans on Pinterest for each month that interests you is also good. That's what we do on my facebook group page Sheree and Sisters in Christ which you probably know. But just go at your own pace. Hope that helps. ;)
