For playing mp3 SD cards on this, there are two things I need to know. 1: can you fast forward, and fast rewind inside a file or piece of music. 2: when you shut it off and then turn it on again, will it remember the place where it was at when shut off...and restart at that same place? Could you check these two things if you haven't already. Thanks... Also, is there a way to Pause the mp3 that's playing...I don't see a Pause button.
I have two and they're ok at around $12. Nice appearance and beautiful color, ok fit and finish, speaker with good volume, battery is long lasting. FM sensitivity not bad but earphones on both of mine sound thin and pinched and isn't pleasant. low volume audio has a hum. It's not bad for gardening or garage but for just a few more dollars there is a retekess with BT and great stereo which is a lot better overall. I'd do that.
It resets to a very loud volume V07 every time it's turned on using internal battery. There is no way to turn it on quietly! However if it stays plugged in between the time you turn it off and back on, your volume will be the same when it was turned off. The sound coming out of this unit is SHRILL. I opened it to switch out to other speakers I happen to have, which did not help. The speaker inside has a good size magnet and the cone is made of paper. Marked 3W 3ohm. The audio amplifier is LTK8002D which is good. It seems the biggest reason this radio doesn't sound good is the acoustic chamber inside. There is no effort to tune the sound, just a coin sized foam pad behind the speaker to hold the driver in place. No venting, nothing thought out (the Retekess V115 is an example of better executed acoustics in a small box). What I decided to do: Put sound deadening foam behind the speaker. This stops the high midrange sound from bouncing around the inside and makes a drastic improvement. Sound out of the earphones is mono and even more harsh than the speaker. Love the color and the 80's style LED display. I hope I don't wear all the paint off of the V- button!
Yeah your right it is mono through headphones, just tested it. Stereo mono. It is a little loud when u start it I guess it is just the circuit rather than how it is set up. Though it cannot play flac, or I think recognise a large SD card. But I think the sound is good though, it seems to have its own unique sound.
