yes because that guys brain was not working properly because of a previous motorbike accident in which he sustained head injury ( Brain damage) and also another accident in which he nearly burned to death so it messed his mind up. He ended up wiping out all his family due to his psychosis caused by the accidents

I first watched this case on Netflix, it's only 3 episodes, but yes it was very heavy as well as eerie that it involves rituals that is almost cult-like. Instantly clicked on this one because I would love to see Aria tackle this case! And yes, I think one of the family members (the man, I forgot now who exactly, but I think the one that was supposed to communicate with Bhopal and lead the family to these rituals) did experience some kind of abuse and trauma back when Bophal was still alive? And that his injuries led him to become a mute for years, but then one day he just started speaking and attributed it to Bophal speaking through him. So, yeah, the family actually thought it was Bophal who healed him and so started treating him as the patriarch and a vessel for which Bophal would continue to give his family orders.

These cases is what made me subscribe to your channel. I don't mind the quality, I can't watch lives so getting it in bite sized chunks is a blessing 😊
I watched this documentary at Netflix and I leaned toward the psychosocial relations of this situation. (And yes, this is my bias as I work in the similar field.) That emerged patriarch suffered from an accident more likely causing a post-traumatic stress outcome of loss of speech. That experience might emphasize inferiority then trigger other comorbidities such as psychotic symptoms. As far as I know, the son and that accident were left behind leaving his distress unattended. As soon as he regained his speech, he started claiming bizarre statements of like him being with their (grand)father that may be looked as a delusion-like experience. Though their family was far from being religious, superstitions related to religions were closely stuck to certain cultures especially in Asia. Another thing to look in this situation was the (un)intentional gaslighting amongst the family members. (I used the wording "(un)intentional" to avoid vilification toward the youngest son as the twisting of events happened after his accident that caused distress to him, hence, not being completely intentional and separating the being to the situation and the condition as the aftermath.) Due to the sudden regain of speech and somehow an escalation to the son's suddenly emerging dominance in the family, this made the family members leaned in following his statements (as there was no clear patriarch in their family after the grandfather's death). (I initially thought of a mass hysteria resulting to mass suicide but immediately crossing the idea out of the equation as no other family member claimed to see or believe something odd as the youngest son.) So yes, both psychological and sociological factors played their huge parts in this tragedy. Distress and delusions as psychological, culture, superstitions, familial relations as sociological, and mental health and its communal prejudice as psychosocial. There was a psychiatrist in this documentary that said an unforgettable remark for me that goes like, this (incident) does not only need a psychological autopsy...this also needs a sociological autopsy.

It's not unknown to lose your voice or a physical ability after a traumatic event. I was unable to talk when my mum died. My vocal cords just... Jammed up for like two weeks even now when I miss my mum and get emotional I lose my voice :(
A really well educated family ending up like this is terribly sad.... no one still knows the proper reason as to why this happened. There were indications that they conducted a ritual but the saddest part was the family dog who was tied up on the terrace had to witness all this and see his owners suffer
Please keep posting these! I actually love videos that are twitch-style since it's a live/open discussion. I actually really enjoy these videos, just as much as the high-quality ones.
The bottom line: Lalik , the youngest son fell into psychosis as a result of 2 traumatic emotional and brain injuries, which went undiagnosed. He developed psychosis that led him to believe he was the voice of his father.: hearing voices is symptomatic. The rest of the family fell into a type of psychosis where they believed him. They became cult members to Lalik’s authority.
It is said that this is a case of mass hypnosis, allegedly, as they were all truly convinced that this ritual would bring the patriarch back, so they all went along with the ritual. As always, thank you for you amazing videos Aria !!!! :)

SIR!! THE QUALITY DOES NOT MATTER. i love these kinds of video. these kind of videos bring us the very natural side of Aria. I LOVE THESE KIND OF VIDEOS PLEASE KEEP THEM!!
This case shows us the reality of the horrors of a CIS-Brahminical Heteropatriarchy rife with abuse, religious dogma and superstition. I hope you read M.N. Srinivas and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar to understand Hinduism and the role of Caste. You’ll find more resources as you read along.
They are not even Brahmins and what does caste have to do with this?! Cults and dogma exist in literally every religion. Please do your research, this is about the Indian societal fibre and resultant ignorance towards mental health. Randomly throwing around non existent terms Cis-Brahiminical heterpartriarchy (not even a word btw) to throw a bad light on Hinduism is just stupid.
I loved your work on Solivagant, as a Filipino who lives in the Philippines you really did my homeland and its stories justice. Hoping there will be a season 2 to Solivagant
I really like these videos because I can't get to the Monday livestreams! Also I think the quality is quite good, and even better now that you have the scroll screen.
The quality is fine to me! I would miss these if you took them off the channel - your livestreams are in the early hours in my timezone and I always miss them!!
i think he ptsd or something after his work accident and then the death of bopal made his mental state even worse and somehow, he forced them to do the ritual
I don't have twitch so I enjoy watching your recaps here. I would subscribe to a separate channel on here to watch. We have several cases...have you thought of taking on the Jack the Ripper question? It would be a long video but I have my suspect and not many people pick him out. I would be curious if you did
Personally I like when it's condensed and put on UA-cam because the streams are not always an ideal time for me to attend anymore 😞 I can hardly keep up with UA-cam videos these days but that's just me. *edit* if I remember correctly, the stories I'd read and were told the father was abusive and controlling before death. Once he passed it was sad but a weight off their shoulders until the son "saw an opportunity". He said how the father was speaking either to or through him and this did result in a few things bettering but was still not happy with their progress as a whole to being how he thought they should be. So they practiced this "ritual" over and over until this day.
I personally don’t care about the quality at all and think that the edited stream videos are a staple of the channel, i hope they continue to be uploaded here :)
Please go through the Netflix documentary on this tragedic case, not just for the case itself but you will also get a taste of what has become of Indian mainstream journalism in recent years.

Please keeping posting these somewhere on UA-cam. I don't mind the quality or if you want to use another channel but livestreams are hard for me to catch with my schedule.
A suggestion would be to have constantly updated playlists of your different types of videos but that’s just me i dont know how often people actually refer to the playlists of a channel
Quality is fine, not all videos need to be 100% super UA-cam quality. Please no different channel for this contract. I've got enough channels to keep track of!
Please keep posting them here! Unless they a completely different genre like baking, I personally don't think it should be in a different channel haha. Though maybe add to the title to indicate that it's a livestream cut? Anyway fantastic job as always. I enjoy these individual cases and also looking forward to the next Solivagant!
"Ritual gone wrong" sound more possible than all the other theories. They all participated in this "rital" willingly, not planning to die, and firmly believed that the ritual would end with them moving on to a "betterment of life". There's only one glaring probleme, the old lady was strangled, that was murder, regardless of the who or why did it.

The reports said lalit tied himself last and his binds weren't tight/almost open cuz he did it himself.
I enjoy these videos, it gives me content to keep me involved with the channel while waiting for the more "high quality" videos. please keep them going
This is one of the few cases you've covered where I have more questions than answers.
I really like these videos because I can't get to the Monday livestreams! Also I think the quality is quite good, and even better now that you have the scroll screen.
This was a shock for everyone in India including a 13 year old me. Still gives me the creeps
I already watched this case on Netflix and it didn't let me sleep in peace for almost 3 days 😭😭
The quality is fine to me! I would miss these if you took them off the channel - your livestreams are in the early hours in my timezone and I always miss them!!
I saw the footage where they are still hanging- it was depressing, it keeps me awake, creepy, and scary
Omg no!!! Keep posting them on youtube, please Aria!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
The police when first arrived described the scene as dead bodies reminded them of the branches of banyan tree
Just hanging there
i think he ptsd or something after his work accident and then the death of bopal made his mental state even worse and somehow, he forced them to do the ritual
I can't believe you are covering this case! Love your videos ❤️
I don't have twitch so I enjoy watching your recaps here. I would subscribe to a separate channel on here to watch. We have several cases...have you thought of taking on the Jack the Ripper question? It would be a long video but I have my suspect and not many people pick him out. I would be curious if you did
Personally I like when it's condensed and put on UA-cam because the streams are not always an ideal time for me to attend anymore 😞
I can hardly keep up with UA-cam videos these days but that's just me.
I can’t always catch the streams but I do love these videos! Wherever you decide to leave them eventually I will watch!
The quality is fine plz keep posting these love your videos
Crazy how a random person went into the house recorded the bodies and posted it online😳
bro just post whatever you want. id still watch em
Quality was fine!! Great video!
I personally don’t care about the quality at all and think that the edited stream videos are a staple of the channel, i hope they continue to be uploaded here :)
Please go through the Netflix documentary on this tragedic case, not just for the case itself but you will also get a taste of what has become of Indian mainstream journalism in recent years.
i love these edited down videos pls keep doing them even if they're on another channel, the quality really hasn't been that bad tho
Please don't leave this platform. I only watch/listen to UA-cam and don't want to miss your content.
I waited for this video....I knew Aria would def create one on this case.
u did great job on name pronunciation and this was interesting case thanks for great video
Please keep them around!!! I cant catch your lives so this is great!! Keep it up!!!!
I'm glad other people are saying they don't mind these videos because I don't either. I don't have the attention span to watch full livestreams, so I really enjoy seeing the highlights on here. Please don't stop posting them, or at least maybe cover the same topics sometimes? 🥺
I love these videos I definitely don't think anything is wrong with them so plz keep them coming on her as I am not a twitch watcher and like being able to watch the condensed version on here and pause and come back if I'm busy. Love this channel! Another great vid
Ah, I saw this documentary in Netflix... Twisted... Very very mental
Quality looked good to me. Your presentation was very good. Im not adding any more technology in my life, so i hope you continue to present True Crime , here
I enjoy these videos here and don’t mind the quality. I prefer having an edited version
I love being able to watch these on UA-cam because I can't always make the streams!!
I honestly love the work you put into these videos I honestly don't care about the quality , I love Bing watching your videos on Sunday so if you take it away your basically taking away my excuse to stay home 😭😭 please don't
Please keeping posting these somewhere on UA-cam. I don't mind the quality or if you want to use another channel but livestreams are hard for me to catch with my schedule.
I would love for you to keep posting these videos to UA-cam in some capacity, as I’m not a twitch user
the moment it was revealed how their bodies were found my face contorted............ holy shit. that scenario described is so horrifying. i
I'd like the videos posted here please. It's a better interface and the VODs wont disappear. The content is 4k
I feel so sorry for this innocent family. They missed their grandfather after his demise.
Please keep uploading this kind of videos!
Wow this case is fascinating! Great video
I love watching your shows, please continue to post.
I didn’t end up finishing the Netflix series that this video is based on. So, this is a great alternative!
I've been to this house and this house now giving really weird vibes like you can feel them.
