As a Rangers fan and someone who has followed Scottish and English football all my life, I find it hilarious when these Celtic fans talk about their next manager and who it could be.
Celtic are not a big draw for a manager. Rangers were lucky with Gerrard because he was a young inexperienced manager and Rangers were taking a gamble. All this talk of taking a big name from England or Europe is just bogus, no big name wants to come to Celtic, thats why you hired Lennon and thats why - even with all the piss poor results you’ve had - you still have him.
At this moment no one wants that job, no one wants to come in while you’re in this position and while the team bus is getting bricked on the way out of Parkhead. Someone may come in next season, but I doubt it. Lennon will still be there, if not it’ll be Jack Ross or someone at that level.
How can it be 55 when they were only founded in 2012? Well according to Walter Smith Richard gough and a few others 🤷♂️ just saying 😉

I wouldn't imagine he has either. Look at Lustig for example, he wanted to keep him and wasn't allowed. None of the backroom staff is his. He wanted Forster back got Barkas. He wanted Toney got Ajeti.
The more that has arisen recently with our discontent with the board leave me to believe Rodgers was less and less of a 'rat' than he's made out to be. He left at a time where I'd guess provisional plans were already made (loan players, how quickly lennon was brought in) you could see his frustrations with the board at the end for example not getting signing targets in mcginn.
The board is the problem.

We can't blame Lennon for taking the call and coming back, any Celtic minded man would have done the same. However, as much as I respect the guy, he wasn't the man for the job, a lazy and short sighted move by the board.
The board have had their occasional good ideas e.g. bringing in Rodgers; however they've been few and far between. Through complacency, particularly during the last 2-3 years, they've sowed the seeds of decay that we're reaping now.
I fear that any decent manager we could persuade to come here just now might just be put off by the way our board is operating.

Sadly I knew this time was coming last year as fraser forester saved our entire year. Still bois, lets bring a bit of optimism. Incredible achievements over these past years which we probably won't see again in our lifetime. Lets not let some bad performances ruin the almost 10 years of everlasting success.

Im a rangers fan but enjoy watching the debated and podcasts on both ends of glasgow. Only watched 7 mins so far but seem like a good mix of lads that are honest and dont have tinted specs on. Makes it more entertaining than hearing rangers and celtic poscasts that are just based on bias and assumptions.

Celtic should be scouting the new manager now and hopefully agree a deal in principle sooner rather than later. If they find someone they should determine a transfer budget for the summer, identify who stays and who goes and identify positions we need to fill with input from the new manager. It is important we hit the ground running with the rebuild.
Agreed. Same goes for new backroom staff along with managers and players. No point rushing to bring a poor candidate in immediately, time and proper consideration should be taken with a Rodgers affect manager ideally
The other thing is for some managers a damaged celtic will be enticing, its an opportunity to come in as a savior of sorts and turn around our fortunes, much like brendo did. I fully expect a high level manager next season (maybe not a well known figure to the fans) and a couple of marquee signings. When celtic is damaged they do react, problem is they only react when it is too late and they will normally just do enough to keep in front of rangers rather than trying to pull away.

Celtic have had a poor season so far. But to take the positives out of this, there has been a significant Improvement in the last few games. All Celtic need to get back on top is decent keeper and another good centre half. Other than that they a very good team.
