It had a leak in the trunk (my fault when replacing the battery) and is low on ABC fluid. Woke up today and all 4 are still up and holding. I'm going to buy new fluid, and 2 filters (ABC and power steering) and hope we can get the ABC light to go out. Love that RS7 you got man!! Thanks for stopping by Sam.
This is a W220 S class, so it has airmatic not hydraulic as far as I know. Some people fix it by literally epoxying the tops of the strut mounts. Not really a great fix but apparently it works. The mechanicals should be generally pretty good, it's just going to have a lot of lights and alerts on.
It's Time I paid $2100 for an 82 300SD W/ 800k miles! She has 376k on her now! Needs a brake master cyl. And power steering pump! And my mechanic said $425 out the door! Her paint is bad now! But she has never not started! Love my car!
Not just that but it was a top tier Benz in it's prime. Just because the car costs less than it did doesn't mean the repairs will be any less expensive
Right?!?! They didn't check or verify any fluid levels, apart from opening the coolant reservoir. Didn't check air filter. Did no research - didn't even know where the battery was. FFS
Brother Randy careful when jump starting Mercs. under the hood there is a little clip usually on the right hand side, covered by a red plastic there is where you connect + and the - just on the suspension bolt. Linking the jump starters to the battery itself can damage any of this car control units, and trust me thats not what you need. Good luck G
Hey I used to have 2004 S500 with bad suspension. When the mechanic asked for my arm and leg to fix it i was gonna donate it. One day I let her run for 10 minutes and she stood up :) So That was my routine for years every morning (once a day) to get the suspensions up. I had to let her warm up longer during winter in Cali. Cheers
Watching this reminds me of my adventurous days dealing with cars. You were better off getting all the needed products from Mercedes and bringing it with you to fuel the car up so it can drive back home. One of the good things about dealing with cars that you know nothing about, is learning everything about them because you're prepared. I have met some really advanced minds that can fix anything that's dysfunctional or broken in a car..............in a heart beat. Doesn't matter what year the vehicle is and what kind of car it is. Plus watching them do so is priceless!
Sweet, super excited to see the progress on this car!! It's been a hot minute since you had a car to work on to flip, since changing the direction of your channel. Keep up the good work man!!
I remember my first Mercedes.... I’ll subscribe when he starts referring to Mercedes by chassis designation and engine code. Channel has promise. It’s a $15,000 car after about $10,000 worth of work. It’s a fantastic find for $1680, if you have the time and means to fix everything. My 560 SEL 1991 was sold after hitting 460,000 miles, treat a Mercedes right and it’s unstoppable.
I own this exact car except a 2002. It has cost thousands every year to maintain even with 60,000 miles but I love it. Nothing like the sound and smoothness of the V12.
Lol give it a couple months weight til the module coupler goes or the turbo kit blows and the ridiculous repair costs put this guys investment at a total loss!?? Hope Not but I'm leery
This by far the best thing youve bought! A mercedes that fires right up is in perfect condition. Also the ABC, SRS and what not show usually up when the car had no battery at all. A couple of restarts should fix that problem. My merc does that too when it has its battery unplugged. Wish Id find an S class for that price with no rust in that awesome condition.
For what you paid for it, even if it turns out to be a boat anchor it's still easily worth more than that broken for parts so you shouldn't lose on it. Keep a tight rein on the spending though, it's easy to go over budget on these as parts, even non-genuine ones, still attract Mercedes-Benz tax...
My uncle was a jewelery representative and his W116 had almost 500.000 kilomtres as he went into retirement. The only he had to renew were the brakes and some smaller things. This old Mercedes was undestructable.
Looks like a good purchase at this point... I was sitting here trying to tell you "the battery is in the trunk!" Guess you did not hear me? If you think 20 MPG with the Corvette is bad, wait till you see how bad this one does!
There’s always a jump-start point under the hood of a Mercedes, usually under a red plastic latch for the +ve, and a round brass post for the -ve. No need to go to the trunk.
My 2003 CL500 which is the Coupe version of this gets 26MPG on the Freeway in town its between 12 and 15. Great cars if you know how to do the work yourself or have the ability to learn
I bought one at Manheim for a decent price on a whim. Its a 05 s600 with 84k miles. Fun to work on 24 spark plugs, 1k per coil pack and ABC issues. Its well sorted now and after a trip to Kleemann for some dyno time I enjoy it. Looks good next to my 01 e39 M5. Your pull in your vette was ok but when mashing the pedal a well sorted intercooled v12tt the Ls has no chance without forced induction. Im a Ls fan I just slid a 6.2 in my JKU Wrangler and its fun. Enjoy the Benz
i bought a 2003 E class from copart for $1,100 that was slightly side swiped. it was dirty as hell, had really heavy steering and several warning lights and messages. all the warning lights and messages (except for a message about a broken bulb) were fixed by driving the car (i drove it home from copart) Basically, if the battery gets low or is bad in a mercedes, it will throw all sorts of error codes since theres several dozen computers and electronic components that all work together. i daily drive that car and its the best $1,100 car i.m.o lol
I know a guy with a 2002 S600 AMG (badged) that he bought years ago in fine shape for 6K, but eventually a slight engine leak got into the alternator - which is apparently water-cooled - no rebuilds available so it'll cost $3500 from MB for the part!! His problem is living in the Great White North... not many car experts around him up there - but what a car! I managed to get a few rides in it and WOW!! it easily does 150 and handles and rides like a dream.. it has cruise with radar that follows the car ahead by a selectable distance, and in that mode it will brake super-quick if a car cuts you off.. and luxury? super front seats with ventilation, real suede headliner.. 4 climate zones.. (and the thing has every conceivable option - even the back seats are heated and recline!!)
its an Amg kit called Sport Package,,its fitted with AMG monoblocks, bumpers, rockers and privacy shades back windows...I like the 5.0 much better than v12 theyre more reliable
Yep its a S600 with the AMG sport package which is the Suspension wheels and body work. Everything except the Supercharged Motor. Great cars if you know how to wrench on them. Never take to A Mercedes dealership unless you have a endless wallet
Oh, Come ON!!!!! What a tease. Those AMG wheels may be part of an optional AMG appearance package. If it is a true AMG, it would have a plaque on the engine with the signature of the builder. Check for that. Great find, Massive luck... Congrats!
Park it overnight and if the suspension falls again one of the fluid accumulators is bad or leaking, otherwise the shocks are bad. they are expensive to buy suspension parts and more of you take it to the dealership.
You are incredibly lucky. The ABS, SRS, EBC or whatever can be reset by turning the steering wheel all the way left right left...or something like that. ABC is much more reliable than Airmatic. Sell it quick and remember always leave one thing broken on an old Mercedes.
These cars have a system that keeps the car leveled, so if you park on a curb, one side will lower so the car is leveled. I guess that due to the lifting, the car stood odd like it did, but restored itself after ignition/electricity
LOL yeah, don't even worry about dry components seizing up or anything. This guy can't wait to jump start it and has no idea how long it's been sitting.
I once drove a Benz. '12 to '13. 1994 C280 with a low mileage V6 engine. White exterior and beige interior. It rode and ran great but the only thing that was a pet peeve was the insurance and maintenance. Like any 4 door luxury vehicle.
I had several of those s classes from 2000-2003. Your car appears to have a leak in the airbag system. The pump located right behind the front passenger wheel will pump up the car. If it’s sitting for days it will leak out air. Another way to determine that it’s an airbag system leak is the soft close door feature will not work on all doors. The automatic locks are soft close, and air suspension are all regulated by the airbag system.
It is crazy how fast they deprecate. I ma shopping for a beater commuter car. So I am getting a 2004 civic with 120k miles for 4,500 , but I could get perfectly running, clean 2001 S600 with 200k miles on it for 3,999. Think about it Civic new cost was around $15,000 but s600 was $100,000+. That means Mercedes depreciated at least 6 times quicker.
@CoDGplays ,Yes it depends where you buy it, here in Texas any piece of junk is worth 3-6 thousand and in Arizona practically new SUVs go for a 2 or 3 grand, because the transportation system is better than in TXs and in Chicago any decent beater that pass inspection goes for 4k and up, because if it fails inspection 3 times the DMV will cancel your registration and you'll have to junk your vehicle unless you practically restore everything like new in Pennsylvania it varies depending on the vehicle, condition and millage, that Benz in PA is worth like maybe $600 bucks because it has too many issues.
@Pepe Odessa , We have a 1996 Lincoln Town car 188,000 on it runs like a limo and his 4.6 is economic, I'll like to see a 22-3 Japanese car do that without falling apart.
Turn the wheel right and left lock and some of those lights on the dash may go out. This period mercs need that to be done after having no power (battery). It is like a reset feature.
Too cool. I'll be 42 years old in two days. I've been driving Mercedes sedans since I was 19. Long time. I've never heard anything good about that S-class car, so I've never even driven one. For the money, like you said, you can't hardly lose! Good luck!!
i have one with 173k . still running strong. had it for 10 years. very few problems. i have only put $3000 in it in the 10 years i have owend ir. thats not counting oil changes. brake pads. tires . the 3k was for ac. shocks. and a rear leveling sensor. and stereo head unit.
The suspension was sagging because copart lifts vehicles with a forklift and allows the suspension to hang freely. There was a button on the dash that has a car with arrows up and down on it. Once he got it to crank he could have tapped the button up twice to put the suspension in the full up position, and then down once for comfort or twice for sport and the car should manage it's own height. However! If the suspension sags again overnight, there is probably line damage to the automatic ride control due to said forklift picking it up or dryrot. Either way, Mercedes aren't usually known for the bags going bad, AND still leveling themselves back out. If the bags go bad they generally won't raise back up at all.
220 series are *great* cars. With these cars people usually upgrade the oil cooling system to be more robust (see forums, etc.). Otherwise they are very well made engines and last a long time. I know my local MB dealer replaced an original M137 V12 after the couple put over 500k miles on it. Of course, an ideal 220 buy would avoid the ABC system and go for the reliable Airmatic (that can also be converted to struts if ever desired, although if maintained lasts years), but ABC is good challenge.
nice video. The leaky gaskets is also a prominent problem on almost all V8 BMWs. So if you go to buy an old v8 bimmer with 80K+ mileage, be sure to make sure that was done. My E53 X5 had 110k miles on it when the gaskets went....estimated $5000 from dealer to fix. Not fun. So we didn't fix it and put in gasket sealer for 2 years until it was hit by a drunk driver...Nice video
I don't like cliff hangers. But I'm excited for you! I think that your intuition was right on the Benz! Good luck, can't wait to see videos this one will bring.
Auto Auction Rebuilds I know what they book for and I've come to the conclusion that it's worth losing a few grand on these cars in the long run because they are brilliant with some TLC. They are very durable cars. Reason why so many ended up junked is because MB used the wrong corrosion preventative coating from the factory so the northern cars rusted to bits and also caused electronics to fail. I'm in the south and my 2000 still has no rust. People in the forums up north usually gave their cars a proper protective coating.
MrCarGuy20 I’m in the desert and have an ‘02 W220 you could eat off of!!! They really are a huge bargain if you do most work yourself, know where to get parts, and budget for those repairs more practical for somebody else to do.
they infamously leak trans fluid from electrical connector oring on trans, extremely common check that fluid because there is a plastic drip pan so you wouldnt even see it leaking sometimes if theres alot of dirt in the pan and fluid just soaks into the dirt any weird shifting fluid is probably low...theyre very strong cars drivetrain wise, they have their flaws but every car does .Good luck
When u get a V12 car for under $1500 in running condition it’s a win all day. BMW had a 5 series with a V12 in it as well. Car looked good to me, just need to find the weaknesses and get them taken care of.
Is it bag suspension ? My guess is if the battery died, then it might of not had enough time to fill up the side. Or maybe there’s a small leak. So when the battery turned on, it filled them back up.
You have too much faith in the quality of work the dealer does. Id assume that NOTHING was changed during the head gaskets except just that and pretty much the bare minimum of what they broke getting the heads off
I'm driving a 2000 e430(base) i bought 4 years ago with 195K on it for $2500. In 4 years I put about $800 in it. Handling and ride is unbelievably great. best $2500 I ever spent. Got a dent in the front fender, hit while parked. Drivers insurance paid us $1680. Net is under $1500, for 4 years!
On the W220 a lot of electrical issues can occur if the battery had been removed incorrectly. Unfortunately it seems most owners and even independent mechanics are unaware of this, and that’s how these cars get bad reputations. Also, when you’re going for an S600 it’s always a good idea to have a budget for maintenance and servicing. In fact this is advisable for ANY used/older car no matter what make.
I just got 01 lexus ls430 225k miles for the same price on copart... Drove it home, has all the luxery features this has and every single thing works on this car, no lights.. Quality.way better than merc. The LS competed with the s600.. Should have got a LS:)
Having been serviced in an official Mercedes-Benz dealer will not guarantee the car is trouble-free, especially if it has been sitting in the yard for around 2 years. What is granted (or should be) is that every problem from the past should have been addressed and fixed with genuine parts, but of course many other problems can still occur as in any other similar vehicle riddled with expensive and complex components. When buying a vehicle from that segment, considering what they were worth new, one must take into consideration its price and costly repairs, probably sorted out with a thorough PPI and how well it was serviced.
what is the story with that. Very nice Commodore I see sitting on your desk?made me chuckle a little bit you didn't know about the battery being in the trunk. Pretty much every Mercedes I've ever known batteries in the trunk.
Sick benz. Had a cl500 when back in the day. Given I lost my license from it(117-65) lol oh well something special about them older benzes maybe nostalgia lol
I think these things had air suspension. Common thing to see them sag after being parked for a while, but still function properly when running. Nevertheless and upcoming repair.
Déjà vu I did exactly the same in the UK a few years back. But, it was the Merc 500 SEL limo. Paid £3200 . . . turned out superb car. Battery was the main problem. I bought new battery for $200 but couldn't ever charge it. You need a charger for a truck or bus lol . . so much electronics
Its amazing its not been seen to be road worthy in over 2 years and your going to drive it home, It would be lifted in ireland straight away and sized for not being placed through a test.
and its got a tape player too lol. friend had oen of these. the ejt button to left of screen. press it, that set of buttons somes out a tad tehn drops down. exposing tape player. ejt button on right is for hte dvd/cd thing.
its a sharp car well worth the money, theyre not really that complex just have to know each system in whole ,i love my w220 nothing can keep up with it.
Actually, Tulsa Oklahoma’s IAA has its auction open to the public. Not many IAA auto auctions have their auctions open to the public and will require you to have a dealers license of the sort. Check their website if there is one near you.
lmfao u people are so anal. how do u exist in such a free willed society where people are routinely breaking rules and laws. must drive u nutty. just let it go. i think u'll find life much more enjoyable (and if u have children so will they)!
That is the way the suspensions works in W220. Everytime you leave it for a week or more it will fall down a little bit. When you turn the ignition on and start the car it should go up and balance itself. This kind of suspension is one of the worst made by Mercedes Benz, anyway if you treat it right it is very comfortable.
and then fix the expensive coolant leak common problem for the s600 models which basically it need remove 1/2 engine for a simple coolant leak. No thanks!
thats my style luxury. but man they can be a pain to maintain. Well the person buying a luxury car has the money to purchase it then they should have enough to fix it lol....im 100% sure it made it home. Hopefully im right
Marvelous0622 lol that’s how I am with my Volkswagens. They are just as pricey as a Mercedes or BMW to maintain but they’re great cars. The Germans know how to build luxury and sporty cars.
Look for it hardwired into the front and rear bumpers, and there should be a switch wired into the dash. Sounds like the same system I had on my infiniti, and its the exact same frequency, so it's likely a K40 series detector or jammer. Sometimes these are wired so well they appear stock!
Man they can still immobilize his car from reckless indangerment doing triple digit speeds. He was in that car no doubt about it and I don't know his age but its definitely a new millennial mistake being done ALOT on these Utube channels now and days.
Park it overnight and if the suspension falls again one of the fluid accumulators is bad and leaking, otherwise the shocks are bad.
Samcrac yo next video update?
So you just let it slip, you made it home!
If the ABC is simmilar to to the SL's, you just press the raise/lower buttom on the dash and it will level itself to normal height
Nothing more expensive than a cheap Mercedes.
It's Time I paid $2100 for an 82 300SD W/ 800k miles! She has 376k on her now! Needs a brake master cyl. And power steering pump! And my mechanic said $425 out the door! Her paint is bad now! But she has never not started! Love my car!
Other than a cheap Bentley or Rolls Royce
The s600 especially, s500 isnt even close to that bad.
Not just that but it was a top tier Benz in it's prime. Just because the car costs less than it did doesn't mean the repairs will be any less expensive
It's Time NOT 100% true. I bought an 03 C320 for less then $500 put a new CPS sensor In it and drove it for a few years until I crashed it
“She fires right up!”
*Starts revving the engine not even 10 seconds after it started*
It put 6 previous owners into bankruptcy. You are #7.
Not likely.
Not when you pay 1600 bucks lmao. He can sell it broken for more than what he paid.
Beyond Repair lmao
At $1600? He can part it out and triple his money, if not more. Sounds like a recipe for success, not bankruptcy.
Mind your business.
Most of those errors are because the battery was dead.
Ohhh she needs some love lol. I'm already fed up man lol. It is a great car though.
Total Tech dude that car is a piece of shit😒
bruv that car was a masterpiece in 2001 lol what did u drive in 2001 to say that its a piece of shit hahahaahahaha
Chris Khoury Masterpiece 🤔
You are a very lucky man. You just don't know That
i got an s500 recently, best car i ever bought, apart from the fuel consumption.
"Looks like it's been parked a while"
Better start it and rev it up without checking the oil.
@Viper ACR 62 It isnt.
Dang I was not aware of this. Crap!! Thank you.

Oh no full resto here lol. I don't have that kind of cash.
Auto Auction Rebuilds well I know you'll have it looking pristine.. She's a nice one.

xD nice lol

Kiss Ass. Tell him the truth.
Its a scam. One of those 1000's of Ebay scams where the sell good lookingncars cheap and you gey got!

i daily drive that car and its the best $1,100 car i.m.o lol
Very nice!!
Boots N Pants That’s awesome man! Great job.
That’s cool sell it 2 me for 1100
E class is the sweet spot for luxury and reasonable repairs, it seems.
I know a guy with a 2002 S600 AMG (badged) that he bought years ago in fine shape for 6K, but eventually a slight engine leak got into the alternator - which is apparently water-cooled - no rebuilds available so it'll cost $3500 from MB for the part!! bdzb721 my 03 S430 has the Airmatic

Good for you Randy...Now that would ,make Tim a nice ride!!!

LOL yeah, don't even worry about dry components seizing up or anything. This guy can't wait to jump start it and has no idea how long it's been sitting.
I love the sarcasm...lol. I'm a novice car "mechanic"and I would never rev a cold engine...muchless one dead for 2yrs..oh well!

This does not use air. It uses hydraulic ABC fluid. The pump for it is also the PS pump. It is low on fluid though. It's level now.
Lol same difference lol you get the concept.
They are very complex cars and cost tons to maintain, that's why they're cheap. Get the civic.
@CoDGplays no, you can get the benz starting at around 4k and civic around 1k.
Cash for clunkers has screwed the whole market up too.
Best channel on UA-cam at the moment, in my opinion. Keep em coming please!
Thank you Shark! I appreciate that.
Too cool. I'll be 42 years old in two days. I've been driving Mercedes sedans since I was 19. Long time. I've never heard anything good about that S-class car, so I've never even driven one. For the money, like you said, you can't hardly lose! Good luck!!
The c6 makes a great recovery vehicle lol
LOL doesn't she??
i have one with 173k . still running strong. had it for 10 years. very few problems. i have only put $3000 in it in the 10 years i have owend ir. thats not counting oil changes. brake pads. tires . the 3k was for ac. shocks. and a rear leveling sensor. and stereo head unit.
even if it is broken, you could sell it by parts. I mean, only drivetrain components can give you a huge profit
Transmission is a 5 g tronic which is bullet proof
AmgMadness what?
I don't like cliff hangers. But I'm excited for you! I think that your intuition was right on the Benz! Good luck, can't wait to see videos this one will bring.
:) Thank you Joanne. 10:30AM CST tomorrow the drive / tow video will be live.
Even if you put $8k into this car, it will last a very long time and it's still an S600 for about $10k that outperforms most new sedans.
It books at like $5K :(
Auto Auction Rebuilds I know what they book for and I've come to the conclusion that it's worth losing a few grand on these cars in the long run because they are brilliant with some TLC.
MrCarGuy20 They are very very durable I've had a c230 07 Five year's no problems at ALL
MrCarGuy20 I’m in the desert and have an ‘02 W220 you could eat off of!!! They really are a huge bargain if you do most work yourself, know where to get parts, and budget for those repairs more practical for somebody else to do.
Well said
they infamously leak trans fluid from electrical connector oring on trans, extremely common check that fluid because there is a plastic drip pan so you wouldnt even see it leaking sometimes if theres alot of dirt in the pan and fluid just soaks into the dirt any weird shifting fluid is probably low...theyre very strong cars drivetrain wise, they have their flaws but every car does .Good luck
I’ve got 2 S-Class Mercedes from that generation that I’m parting out if you end up needing any parts.
I actually need some interior pieces. Can you email me a1title42@gmail.com?
Email sent
When u get a V12 car for under $1500 in running condition it’s a win all day. BMW had a 5 series with a V12 in it as well. Car looked good to me, just need to find the weaknesses and get them taken care of.
Nice buy man. Love the videos keep them rolling
Thank you.
I hope you check the fluids, not sure if this is a sealed unit or not..
It's sealed. The car checked the fluids and all good.
Just found you friend! Watched the SRX videos and then this one. Then I saw the S600, and the Atari, and I just subscribed!!! 👍👍👍
The rims are worth $1680 if un Damaged alone
On the W220 a lot of electrical issues can occur if the battery had been removed incorrectly. Unfortunately it seems most owners and even independent mechanics are unaware of this, and that’s how these cars get bad reputations.
Also, when you’re going for an S600 it’s always a good idea to have a budget for maintenance and servicing. In fact this is advisable for ANY used/older car no matter what make.
A Prius, RX-8, Vette, S600. No shortage of diff gas mileage 🙄
Don't forget the 2012 Cruze Eco Turbo lol
When buying a vehicle from that segment, considering what they were worth new, one must take into consideration its price and costly repairs, probably sorted out with a thorough PPI and how well it was serviced.
ure name XD
what is the story with that. Very nice Commodore I see sitting on your desk?made me chuckle a little bit you didn't know about the battery being in the trunk. Pretty much every Mercedes I've ever known batteries in the trunk.
The wheel alone are $600-$800, all day! Lol nice buy man you did well!
Thank you :)
Totally rooting for this car to be a home run. Looks pretty nice, and the CarFax report is pretty awesome. Time will tell.
Tomorrow's video will be.... Fun lol.
1:25 Never mind that S 600... I want that Atari 800!
I used to have an S500 with all those options, rides good with that air ride suspensions but the fixing part was expensive
Sick benz. Had a cl500 when back in the day. Given I lost my license from it(117-65) lol oh well something special about them older benzes maybe nostalgia lol
Best benz ever old CL coupe
You have a hole in the air bag suspension and it fills it when the car is turned on. It will sink back when the car is turned off.
LOL 120 mph, you can be luck to go 20 mph on these New Orleans streets with out a pothole telling you to slow down.
Come to Philly them fuckers hide themselves😭😭
Lmao 😂
turn the steering wheel fully to the right then fully to the left then back center to reset abs parameters.Light will shut off.
My mother had a 2001 s class with the v8. Was an excellent car never an issue.
It's the airbag system I have one just the same once the car is off the car lowers it's self u also have switches on the dash for it
alright! you rolled the big dice this time! good luck man!
Thank you :)
So far it looks like a nice clean car the real test will be if the suspension holds after a few days of sitting.
Agreed. It's still up as of today.
1) distill water and do a pressure test
I think these things had air suspension. Common thing to see them sag after being parked for a while, but still function properly when running. Nevertheless and upcoming repair.
The non-turbo V12 is a slug. It's all the drawbacks of a V12 with none of the benefits. Good luck.
There is one hell of benefit to THIS V12 - Sound! Given you put a "F1" exhaust
V12 twinturbo is quick
Déjà vu I did exactly the same in the UK a few years back. But, it was the Merc 500 SEL limo. Paid £3200 . . . turned out superb car. Battery was the main problem. I bought new battery for $200 but couldn't ever charge it. You need a charger for a truck or bus lol . . so much electronics
ITS A GOOD CAR!!! wow, the magic touch or booster pack?
Its amazing its not been seen to be road worthy in over 2 years and your going to drive it home, It would be lifted in ireland straight away and sized for not being placed through a test.
like the great Scotty Kilmer would always say "these cars are MONEYPITS". good luck randy
Yep lol. He hates them.
and its got a tape player too lol. friend had oen of these. the ejt button to left of screen. press it, that set of buttons somes out a tad tehn drops down. exposing tape player. ejt button on right is for hte dvd/cd thing.
if you have just bought it , don't damn it.
We did a starter on one of these recently...for $4,000. Bankruptcy is always an option!
Great vlog Randy. This is the type of content that I love to follow!
Thank you.
its a sharp car well worth the money, theyre not really that complex just have to know each system in whole ,i love my w220 nothing can keep up with it.
This will be one of your most interesting purchases. I'll definitely be following up!
:)
Is that an Atari 400/800 in the back ground. Nice to see some retro computing
Do you have to have a dealers license to buy cars from IAA?
No, I do not.
Actually, Tulsa Oklahoma’s IAA has its auction open to the public. Not many IAA auto auctions have their auctions open to the public and will require you to have a dealers license of the sort. Check their website if there is one near you.
Congrats on your purchase , just ignore jealous people’s saying , once you drive a mercedes you wlll always do so , enjoy it .
Ken from MercedesSource brought me here 👍
Love the Atari 800; that was my 1st computer when I was a kid.
Thank you. It was my 1st as a kid too. It still works 100%. Unlike today's junk.
Are we not gonna talk about how he went over the speed limit at 6:46?
lmfao u people are so anal. how do u exist in such a free willed society where people are routinely breaking rules and laws. must drive u nutty. just let it go. i think u'll find life much more enjoyable (and if u have children so will they)!
No thanks!
My cl600 has a coolant leak it sucks :/ I just refill it drive it weekends only but ya never ending problems but it's a dream to drive an superfast
Not a MB fan, but I like that red vette and that sweet Atari 800!
thats my style luxury. but man they can be a pain to maintain.
Got a nice radar detector in there as well! Heard it when you put the key in lol
I thought so too but I'm wondering if it's the parking sensors??
Look for it hardwired into the front and rear bumpers, and there should be a switch wired into the dash. Sounds like the same system I had on my infiniti, and its the exact same frequency, so it's likely a K40 series detector or jammer. Sometimes these are wired so well they appear stock!
I'll look. It sure sounds like a detector!! And it looks factory molded into the upper dash. Very clever!
Be careful when posting such acceleration runs on public roads....it is practically evidence for speeding if some local authorities take note.
Oh, I agree. I wasn't driving though.
That was the right answer. ;-)
Man they can still immobilize his car from reckless indangerment doing triple digit speeds. He was in that car no doubt about it and I don't know his age but its definitely a new millennial mistake being done ALOT on these Utube channels now and days.
@@lanewarriorillridez3739 It was a backroad in Mexico
My friend has a s600 v12 Amg and it sounds amazing but it has a monster leak on the middle part, head gasket.
