Ground Breaking Ceremony for the Very Venerable Thrangu Rinpoche Academia Industry Block

On 23 May 2024, a ceremony was held to consecrate the ground of the new Thrangu Rinpoche Academia Industry Block in Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel. This block is the result of a partnershuip between Thrangu Vajrayana Buddhist Center (TVBC) Hong Kong, under the umbrella of Namo Buddha Buddhist Meditation and Educational Centre (NBBMEC) and Kathmandu University. The block was named after the Ninth Khenchen Thrangu Tulku, Karma Lodrö Lungrik Maway Senge and his extensive contribution to the spread of Buddhism worlwide, The agreement of partnership was signed on 17 May 2024.
This four-storey building will be dedicated to spreading Buddhist education and will serve as a hub for academia-industry cooperation. The top floor will house a museum and library of Buddhist works with special focus on Thrangu Rinpoche’s vast repertoire of writings and teachings. Shakyamuni Buddha and Very Venerable Thrangu Rinpoche’s statues will grace the multipurpose hall.
