Also, I had a tasting with the founders of Old Line a couple weeks back - they do use only new charged oak and 100% malted barely for the mash. While they do some of their own distilling, they don’t have the capacity to keep up with demand so their master distiller works with Driftless Glen in Ohio for their distillation. It’a basically contract distillation but Old Line is very hands on.
I go back and forth on whether I like the Cask Strength, but the entry level ASM and rum cask are quite good. Their sherry cask is phenomenal.
Is there a pixel going out on the camera just over Rex's face? Or is the sun powering a single point into the vault?
Thank goodness I didn't read this until 3/4 of the way through otherwise it would have drove me nuts 😂

Old Line is distilled in Ohio by Old Line. But the company is in Maryland.
I was at the distillery today. Their mash bill is super er high malted us 2 row(usually between 85-90%) and finished with deep roast malted barley. They’re all aged at least 5 years in char 4 barrels. They have a lot of great finishes at their distillery including Sherry and Moscatel Casks, both at 100 proof, both are fantastic. They have great special releases I can’t remember off the top of my head.
My fav is the navy strength rum and it's at 114 proof
When you did a close up of Rex, there was an annoying spot. I thought it was on my screen, but it must have been on your lens. Drove me crazy.
Bought the Old Line Cask Strength from a review you did several years ago…glad I did…loved it
Jameson has made bottles with the labels upside down for bars to have on their taps, that’s all I can think of for a bar-made bottle

Drove me nuts too. My guess would be that they have a bit of dust on the camera or dead spot forming in the camera.

Just watched a video about "Crab Trapper" whiskey(?), made cooking an invasive green crab species. Out of New Hampshire, possibly the concoction specifically for old Yankees.
The state motto of New Hampshire is "Live Free or Die" and in case I believe that they are trying to expedite the latter

on bottling for bars vs bottling for individual consumers, some Irish and Scotch bottlers in the past have made bottles with upside down lables for the dispensers in pubs. Not sure if they still do though.

What kind of freshly cut wood for the cabin? Cedar, Pine, Oak, Birch? Enquiring minds want to know.
Definitely cedar. The fragrance of cedar wood is wonderful, especially for a sauna.
You do get a lot of what I would call "bar release" bottling for things like Jameson and other cheaper whiskeys and scotch, there the label is "up-side down" so that they're up-side down in measured pourers the label is still readable.

YES - at first I thought my monitor was jacked up!! I actually think it might be the camera itself because sometimes the dot is there even on the wide shots. Maybe there is a drop of whiskey on the lens 😆

Packaging is expensive and prohibitive to produce two packages. It is an interesting considderation for bar back display. Worked on a repack for a prominent tequila brand that had to address that issue in particular. Your cool bottle design means nothing if people can't see it.

Screwball has 100mil Cans like mini beer/soda cans... I didn't care for it until I poured it in with my coffee (with cocoa powder added)
