THANK YOU! This is exactly what I needed. Thanks for your quick response! Out of curiosity, if I wanted to make a cased opening in it or cut a section out after the fact, how would I do that?
Rachel Teichroew you’re welcome!!! There are two ways to make the openings. 1st way- after you make the first mass, you’ll want to make the openings with another mass, but choose Void instead of Solid when creating it (I believe I have a video on this). Another way is after assigning the wall to the mass, you can edit the profile of the wall by selecting it and clicking the edit profile tool and then draw out your openings by modifying the sketch of the wall in an elevation view.
This was such a great video and explanation! In terms of adding materials would you add them directly to this file? Or could I copy and paste this into my actual model and then add materials, would that still work?
Good question. If you plan on importing this into another project, I think the easiest way would be to first assign materials to this file before importing it into another model, but you should be able to change it after you import if need be, you might find this video helpful for that process: ua-cam.com/video/l9QTGh5LraQ/v-deo.html
Great question. I have no idea. The only thing I can think of is if are you using a spline at each elevation to create the loft maybe that could throw it off? Were you able to figure it out yet?
Thanks for the question! One way to do it is to set the material in the properties menu for the mass (you must select it before checking it off to complete the mass).

Whenever I create the form, it is very smooth and curvy when I want it to point like in the video. Do you have any idea why?

hi there, that was quick and easy. But how would I put a material onto the mass?
Thanks for the question! One way to do it is to set the material in the properties menu for the mass (you must select it before checking it off to complete the mass).
A second way is to assign a wall by face to the mass (see the massing and site tab), then set the wall material to what you want.
@@Studio_Hero thx for that! I worked it out after I wrote this - now I am just trying to figure out what the best way is to place the climbing anchors
THANKNYOU
