- Not a rant, just looking for opinions on what makes you motivated to enter events!
Nothing worse than seeing a skid pad all setup ready to go and not being used!!!

Maybe the skid scene has moved on from these outdated / small pads,the entertainment value isnt really there like it is with the larger ones. Manfeild has commented multiple times that the pad is what it is,no interest in upgrading the setup. Most of those big local intersections that are getting tagged up from monday to sunday have some bloody decent cars and drivers there,agreed though the bystanders for the most part ruin it. Tip ins at pace / 360s dominate the street meets, they're just a better show.

It’s the price you have to pay to enter yr car in 4 and rotors then you add gas on top. It worth it
My Daughter sent me some burnout vids from Krome in Timaru. Good setup there, plenty of room for tip ins and they had a grandstand. Would have been even better with drone footage hooked up to a big screen or two, but in NZ this may not be so economically viable.
Burnouts got dumb when 4 and rotas let v8s and 6s come and dominate the comp instead of making two different classes
theres def not many 4s or rotors out there anymore bro!! RB's, V8s etc...
Mate I'll come and support you if you have a comp even a fun day just for the love of poping tyers what we do on the burn out seen isn't the same as on the street alot of people do skids simply for the trill of it being illegal
For me it’s the cost of repairing something if it breaks vs a cruise session that’s less chance
Also it’d be cool to have more of an open play session in an area without walls. No competition, just stress free learning. Binning the pride and joy is too much of a risk

The people that take there cars to that particular even don't seem the type to put them on the pad from what it seems.
Last few times iv attended this even its been much the same making a very boring event.
But in saying that every other event iv been to this year and last year you were having so many people trying to get on the pad people are getting pissed off not having enough time to run threw everyone.
Also doesn't help that all the big name skidders and regular people that hit the pads in other events don't seem to attend this event any more. not sure why that is.
The pad is too small to show your talent. Autofest is no longer coming to manfeild because of it. I hope manfeild do bulid a proper pad one day
I also think if Manfield had a bigger skid pad more people would actually jump in give it a go with their pride and joys, I know if I had a go I’d hit the fkn fence and shit, 😂but if they looked into it properly and did a decent size setup for proper skid events like Masterton rapanats pad and get all the real deal skid monsters coming to it I mean someone needs to create a event to raise money maybe to make it bigger, but first asking management if they would ever invest money into the skid game there as well or more money for more concrete work out the pros and cons for the event and use Aussie as a big example and how big rapanats is already I mean it’s a whole different car community/family
I think many people have tries to work with manfield to build a skid pad.. dont think they are interested. Id love to be able to get out there and powerskid the whole straight right past the grandstand haha!!

Probably Too many events all rolled up into small timeframe brother plus Everyone at this event I think we’re more focused on track time and racing but downtime events team throw good events and Saturday was insane bro first time I’ve seen the entrants park up area packed out we were rolling with Trev in the Maloo and blue Ls wide wheel VT
Yeh was a good day and heaps of cars out on track! But your right always plenty of events to choose from at this time of year!
