The stepmom was terrible for picking an over budget dress and not chipping in to cover the cost.
I agree she should not have picked an over budget gown but at least the stepmom listened to what Hannah wanted and picked out a dress that matched what Hannah described.
That would be considered sabotage.

Step mom just wanted to beat bio mom. And when she realized how pissed the daughter was by how over budget thw dress was she started to chicken out. She got so lucky that Lorie found a dress the daughter liked better than her $4000 over budget pick. She needs to get some self-esteem and realize she is not in competition with bio mom.

@@yolandannamees3740 Because the bride considers her step mom to ALSO be her mom and I can relate. That means her stepmom is very important to her.
The stepmom's pick was out of budget BUT it was exactly what Hannah wanted and was very similar to the dress Lori picked. What matters is what the bride wants, not what others want or like.

well we don't know what the relationship is like: the reason for the divorce/separation, which house the daughter spent most of her time at, who she had the most common interests with, who she uses to confide in, who did all the running around for her etc.
“They” did not grab a dress over budget. Her step-mother did.
And please leave those tacky belts off. They cut the dress in places where it was not designed to be separated.

@@joralemonvirgincreche Too much tanning will turn you to leather. I think she chose her blush during the winter, because it's the wrong shade for her tanned complexion. Also, I don't think she had any idea how clownish it would look on camera.
The consultant absolutely should have told the bride the dress was over budget before she tried it on
I agree. They always say they are there for the bride, not anyone else, so she should have had the brides best interest at heart and told her. It was like a breach in trust. Had that happened to me I would have felt so betrayed the appointment would have been ruined and while I would have tried more on I would not have chosen one.
it's a TV show though so they hide it for drama.

I'm glad that the dress the bride picked wasn't picked by either of the moms. The stepmother's attitude was horrendous. But I thunk it was more about each mom competing against each other than the bride finding a dress she loved.
Nah, in her own way, bio mom was just as bad. I noticed she wasn't talking about what Hannah wanted. She was talking about _her_ vision; how _she_ wanted her daughter to present herself on her wedding day. It was "I...I...I" throughout everything she said. I found it triggering as all get-out, because she sounded like my own mother.

Step mom started right in with a harsh sounding “That’s not the Dress” twice. Mom got defensive and started explaining why she liked the dress. Then stepmom pulls a dress that’s 2X the budget!

And the belts cut off the lines of the dress. If the designers wanted something to cut off the top from the bottom, they would have added a belt-like detail.

@@rosallumetta2864A mom is not just the one who gave birth to you. In my case, I only have one mom who was everything to me. The other person that I would call mom is my mother in law when I marry if she gets along with me. But other that, I only have just one mom.

The step mom is very selfish picking out a gown 3,800. Over budget. She was trying to one-up the mom and didn’t care about the brides feelings.
(Of course she back peddled when Laurie picked an on budget dress that looked wonderful)

The sparkly belt was too much. "There's something missing," says Mom. No, there was nothing missing and the belt makes the dress overcomplicated. I've never seen a single one of these episodes where an additional belt improves the look or design of the dress.

They 5:57 didn't grab dresses that weren't in her budget. The stepmom is the one who grabbed a dress not in her budget.
The mom liked the dress after a stupid belt was put on it, but if I were the bride, I'd ditch the belt on the actual wedding day, and she'd have to deal with it.

Not they chose a dress outta budget, only one person did lol both moms shouldn't have behaved immaturely and listened to what their daughter wants. Loved Lori's pick, perfect blend of all their selections in one gown in the bride to be's budget.
Those moms act like my mom and my grandmother both of them want me to do different things and I love them but together they are a BIG challenge
