THANK YOU SO MUCH I have looked all over the internet for a manual and could never find my exact thermostat. I then went onto images and saw a picture on google and followed your link, For the first time in nearly a year i can now set the bloody thing hahaha BTW I lost the original manual god only knows where and how but who cares now anyway :)
Hello guys thank you so much for this video. I’ve just moved into my first home and I have a center control panel that I was struggling with and you guys helped me out! Very simple now That I’ve seen this
Programmed absolutely no problems thanks, but my auto doesn't switch off at the programmed time, does it have to reach the temperature programmed before it turns off?
Silly question here. When I copy the day, do I have to go into each program? And is there a way to see what each program is after setting it? Thank you
Great video, but I know all of this already. My Controller is not connected to my boiler. I have a Baxi Platinum 28. How do I rebind this controller? Is this controller the same as a Honeywell?
Hi, helpful video, but the Center thermostat I have looks completely different to the one in the video. I don't think there is a front flap that lifts up on my one. Do you have more videos showing the different types of thermostat?
Great Video. I actually followed your instructions and have all my days set correctly, however this morning when I woke up it was freezing in the house, and when I checked the thermostat it was showing as 12-degrees, despite the fact it was set to Auto and 15-degrees (I like it cooler at night). Do you know if these thermostats can be "intermittently faulty" ? I know it is still capable of communicating with the boiler, because I was able to turn it off and on and set to Auto again and the boiler kicked in, but the fact it was not kicking in during the night despite being set to Auto is very concerning - especially coming into winter! Any help/advice would be much appreciated.
Mate, I am experiencing the same problem as you. The auto function is, in my opinion, faulty at times or I am an idiot. I believe the issue is assigning the thermostat temperature for Auto (1-2-3-4). I absolutely hate using this type of programmable timer + thermostat. Did you fix your issue in the end?
I actually discovered that my issue was due to the engineer who installed the “receiver” installed INSIDE the metal casing of the boiler, so the Thermostat was really struggling to communicate with the receiver due to the signal being blocked (you know, because wireless signals tend to struggle to get through metal!)…So, moral of this story is don’t hire a moron to install your boiler 😂
@@alishahallett3942the receiver is a little square box connected to the boiler but must be on a wall away from the boiler. This receives the signal from your centre thermostat as to what needs to be done. Sometimes after a power cut they lose contact with each other, if this happens press the little button on the receiver and a green light should come on telling you it has paired up
Hi, I have this thermostat and the past few weeks we’ve been having issues. It’s set on a timer and will not switch on in the morning. The thermostat comes on as the 🔥 shows, but the boiler isn’t kicking in?! In the evening it is set and I come home from work and it’s fine! It’s only the mornings anc I can’t work it out?! It’s very frustrating as we are waking up freezing. Any help appreciated
Hi thanks for your video, whya does the battery sign mean? As I'm trynna turn on the radiator a battery sign flashes at the top left corner. I'm not sure how get rid of that.
Does the time dictate when the heating comes on/goes off or the temperature? Sounds silly but my boiler fires up outside of the times set for some reason & reaches higher temperature than what I've programmed.
This is still confusing to me. Does the biolerncomenon when the home reaches those temperatures or will it reach the temperature that I have set it to when it comes on at the time set
What if the thermostat shows a temperature WAY over the actual ambient temperature in situ .. as these things tend to do - can that situation be mitigated / the thermostat manually re-calibrated ?
I’m a bit confused by this. In my dad’s house, when I manually adjust the thermostat to 24 degrees Celsius, it only increases very slowly from 15 degrees, reaching about 16.5 degrees, but never the 24 degrees I set. Why is this happening? Why doesn’t it just increase to 24 degrees to better heat the home? I’m wondering if I’m misinterpreting the situation because it could be warmer in my dad’s house. Sometimes, the temperature just stays around 15-15.5 degrees, which isn’t very warm. I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or misunderstanding the situation. Does anyone have any advice?
How can I operate this manually? It is stuck on 16°, if I press manual and put it up to 18°, it just goes back to the 16°. How can I Set the general temperature to 18°?
I think this video is misleading, if you read the manual is states there are 4 temperature level changes per day, not two different time periods as you describe in the video.
Just a quick ask before I look through all the comments.... just exchanged no a house with the control panel apparently linked to a Baxi boiler. When I click the Manual button which switches the boiler to constantly on, nothing happens The only thing that looks suspect is the flashing battery icon in the top left corner of the display.... any thoughts anyone?
What do you do when it says the wrong temperature? Put new batteries in and it says wrong temperature. The screen wasnt working for ages and all I did was put new batteries in. Had it 3 years and no problems
2.45am Hi I have the same center room thermostat but it only connects to the boiler when it’s really close to the boiler not from the room which is about 20 feet away
I've got one of Hesse and I'm up the wall with it. I use manual mostly, but it's up the wall. I'd set it to say, 23, when it hit 23 it would go off. But it would stay off for 2-3 hrs. Even though the room has gone cold! We have to turn the therm up to get it back on. In the winter it gets freezing in here. The problem now is, I can set the therm for, say, 24, but now it can suddenly go up to 30 and the heaters aren't even on! Then a few minutes later it will drop to 21-21... What and why would it do this? This is the second controller we have had for this boiler cos the last one went up the wall and lost its brain. Or something like that? So, heeeeeelp, what am I doing wrong, or is it the therm control box again? Fed up now. Going to be a very cold winter in this bungalow again!
This is the problem I hoped the video would solve ! Makes the timer pointless if I set it to 20° at 6 am..and it's still firing at 11am when I'm out at work due to the temp dipping !
at some point when I last set my timers I left timer 3 blank ie just ----, now I want to set it and can't, I can change the times and temp for 1,2 and 4 but the unused timer 3 wont change. any ideas?
Who makes Center thermostats? Mine comes on at 1200 midday and stays on. It is set to come on at 1200 and off at 1200 but it just stays on. I have tried off at 1210 but it still strays on. At lease 6 different plumbers and electricians have had a look and no one can stop it coming on.
My Dad has this very unit, Can you set the AUTO temperature to be quiet low permanently somehow like 10 degrees, so when on Auto it does only come on at the set timers. He has this unit in a hallway which is always quite cold and we noticed in the evening on Auto the system doesn't switch off at 9pm with the timer when set to 20 as the hallway is always around 19.
There is the problem, between 4 intervals of the day for example you set 6:30 which means morning to 18c, after 6:30 like on 8:30 morning or even 9:00am morning it will again jump to 21 why is that so????
Does anyone know how to get it to only come on to the specified times, currently the boiler is kicking in pretty much all the time and I'm conscious the heating is on at times of the day it isn't supposed to be. Currently set to Auto and all days have their times programmed.
Did you ever work this out? Interested to know as ours fires up the boiler between time 2 and 3 even when the target temp is much lower than actual temp. Very frustrating.
I believe if you set the desired temps lower after switch off periods the heating wont be on for most of the day & night. Example: Time period 2>3 which is pre programmed to shut off at 8am, instead of having the temp set at 18° lower it to 11° - the temp difference of 21° to 18° is only 3° between 1>2, if you left the house a 8am on a chilly day in Scotland, with say an outside temp of 2° the heating would be back on within an hour trying to maintain that 18°, when you're presumably out all day at work returning home again at approx 6:30pm.
I have one of these but it is faulty. Does anyone know if you can buy a similar one that will be compatible ? And does anyone know the model number of this one in the video so I can try to find an exact replacement? Thanks in advance
I was told to look on utube to learn how to use this clock which is, pretty bad!! EON!! This video is helpful but the clock itself isnt simple to use. Small buttons & writing or dark making things difficult for the visually impaired 😮.
your video is not comprehensive and i think you actually made a mistake in there. Rewatch it, rehearse it, and get as much info in there as possible. You told us when the thermostat comes on, but didnt make it clear when it would turn off, and also how does manual interfere with auto
This video is a lifesaver. New house, no manual, had no idea why it wasn't coming on on manual.

Thanks, big help. Does this overide the timer dial on the boiler and does it matter if the boiler is on the timer or on setting?
