Commandos 2 - Castle Colditz - Speedrun (Very Hard, all bonus books, objectives)

Mission-specific rules:
- No bug that involves passing the castle's locked back door without key.
- All prisoners must be rescued (the objective is marked as complete after you rescue the majority of them, but not necessarily all)
Rules:
- In-game time is the only goal. Inventories, objectives list and pause don't waste time.
- All bonus books.
- All objectives - Secondary and Clues. Since the mission result screen doesn't keep track of Clues, objectives list must be opened during the mission to showcase all Clues as completed.
- Not being detected and not being injured, the former means that must not be fully seen by the enemies at any point (even unarmed ones and snipers), but blue-red flashing is allowed.
- No alarm. Events that normally raise the alarm are allowed in alarm-insensitive areas. If explosions are required by the objectives, they're allowed at the end of the mission (within last minute).
- No shooting enemies, except for using the sniper rifle. Also, the default pistol is allowed for distracting the enemies.
- No Ctrl glitch (harpoon on land, Natasha's undetectable sniper rifle), no Syringe glitch (affecting an enemy far away). - Ігри

Man you are an absolute machine! This level of multitasking doesn't seem possible for humans!
I did that level in very hard too, all objetives, all bonus books with 3 starts in merits... but my time was 2 hours and 35 minutes..
I never knew, only after 20 years that you can aim with the sniper inside the building lol

That was fast and without saving. Clearly, you've memorized their movements and location. But I get more stars/merits by clearing all enemies without shooting/killing/being detected. Meaning, I only got the "Time" that has the lowest merit/stars. The saves and loading don't count for merits though I know hard mode won't give you that much liberty with saving.

Thanks, i just completed all the main missions (no plans for bonus/tutorial ones for now).
few days ago I played Target Burma, this was also the first time funny thing happened. I shot the crocodile swimming on the canal frrom the bridge where the 3 patrolman guard. the croc run after me hahaha...it;s really funny LoL..maybe the croc use GPS so it knew where my position was ahahahah...i love commandos2

What spy can walk around in regular uniform? I thought he needs an officer's uniform to avoid detection
Only officers - no matter their uniform style - detect him in any uniform. Lieutenants & soldiers wont detect him.
The one exception is the SS - they always detect him, for example the SS grenadiers (greenish/tan uniform - rarely seen, if ever) & the SS patrolmen (grey trenchcoats).
anybody ever try how to be caught in jail in Castle Colditz ? i have LoL..the 3 patrols caught me and it was the first time since I play this game in 2000. I think this is the easter egg of this game.
Yeah, i had it happen. I didn't check all the maps, maybe a few others have this too. I do know that the Paris mission internally defines a prison inside one of the hotel rooms, but it was left deactivated. I activated it by editing, and it worked well similar to Colditz. So it had the potential to be a common mechanic.

in the case of this mission, it's for the secondary objective of helping the prisoners escape
