The Ginyu Force was inspired by Super Sentai, a Japanese show that Power Rangers is based on.
Their Japanese name is "Ginyu TokuSentai" (Ginyu Special Squad)

All oh Frieza's army are things you can find in a freezer/fridge! Haha

Fun stuff: Ginyu is a word derived from Gyuunyuu = Milk in japanese. His soldiers have dairy products names: Jeice(Cheese), Burter(Butter), Recoome(Creme), Guldo(Yogurt). And those are products you conserve better in the Frieza.
For anyone wondering, Guldo is kind of a mistranslation. His real name is Ghurd/Gurudo.

Frieza does sound a lot like Rita in this dub sometimes.
They derived from the Super Sentai franchise, which subsequently paved way for the Power Rangers franchise.

I love the early DBZ sagas! And I'm so glad you're watching them, Suzy 😁 (I've been following since Day 1 BD). But, having watched these early sagas as a boy in the UK when they aired, I find myself naturally biased with the superiority of the Ocean dub for the voices of the characters, than the Funimation dub.
You can find the Ocean dub still online, so if you ever get a chance, watch them and listen, and let us all know! 😁

Krillin is instrumental in gohans training. Yes piccolo got him going in the early days but krillin really taught him how to control his abilities from suppressing his energy to maxing out and just overalls not running away from battle like he use too. Krillin is the man

Vegeta asking if Goku is close to help them is kinda wild, comes to show how Vegeta feels about them even with so many power ups and increase of power he had between planet Earth to this episode.
If Vegeta still had his tail these guys wouldn't be a problem for him at all.
Not sure about that since they could outsmart him by cutting his tail, and they're many together.

The great ape has a dealbreaking weakness, his tail. As long as there is a weakness like that, others can easily defeat him. Look at Vegeta and how he defeated Great Ape Gohan, despite being way weaker, look at how someone like Yajirobi "defeated" Great Ape Vegeta, by simply cutting his tail. The Ginyu Force could EASILY cut Vegeta's tail and that'd be that.

Hi Suzy Goku uses the kanji 悟 (go), which means "wisdom", "enlightenment", "discernment", "realization", or "understanding". Goku adopts this kanji after training for battles on the planet Namek.
More importantly, it's the "go" part of his full name, 孫(son) 悟(go) 空(kuu)
Vegeta's VA voices Recoome, Jeice and Burter of the Ginyu Force. He'll be talking to himself a lot.. LOL

The Namek arc is my personal favorite out of all of Dragon Ball. But that doesn't mean the rest are bad. Dragon Ball is always fun to watch

Fun Fact: Frieza himself is much more powerful than all 5 members of the Ginyu Force combined. If Vegeta, Krillin and Gohan cannot even beat the Ginyu Force, then they stand no chance against Frieza. If Goku could beat the Ginyu Force, then he might stand a chance against Frieza, but it is a slim chance.

I like this saga but there is one in the future that I know Suzy will like even more imo. This is fun regardless is a bit of chaos, action, fear, comedy, honestly a little bit of everything.

Well... actually, the Ginyu forces' poses you saw last episode was parodying the super sentai shows, where the heroes usually take those kind of postures. And for those who doesn't know, though Super Sentai is the type of live action tv shows that gave Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in 1993. In Japan, it exist since 1975 with 秘密戦隊ゴレンジャー (Himitsu Sentai Goranger), with a new show each year, and they were first imported in France in 1985 with 超電子バイオマン (Chôdenshi Bioman), or just Bioman for the french audience.
I always love seeing the Ginyu force doing their thing. The next few episodes are going to be fun.
