- www.truthforli... || By: Alistair Begg - (1 Samuel 16:13-23) God chooses to use unlikely people for unlikely tasks in unlikely places. To serve the Lord, we’re not expected simply to muster up adequate inner strength. Rather, God Himself enables us through His Spirit. We see this illustrated in 1 Samuel when the Holy Spirit descended upon David and departed from Saul, radically altering both lives. To do God’s work, cautions Alistair Begg, we need the Spirit’s empowering. His presence is crucial, even as His absence is dreadful.
Thank you Pastor Begg.
I hope Pastor Begg doesn't think I'm trying to puff him up, but I do believe him to be the best overall preacher out there today. There are many good preachers, fine preachers, but Pastor Begg takes the overall best. I listen to him over and over. To his podcasts over and over. I love listening to him teach and preach the Word of God.
Thank you for the education and insight. I implore all the more for the Spirit to come.
I believe there's something to music therapy as it's always been very helpful to me. LOVE this message, it captures my heart!
Every time without exception, at the mere mention of the book of Samuel, I am transported to my early days at school, being between 6-9 years old, now in my seventh decade. But I remember clearly the teachings taught. Sadly in modern day Scotland, if teachers dare to teach bible truths to little ones, then they better be aware that they give the same measure and respect to islam.
Sad days indeed, come soon Lord Jesus.
Yes, come soon Lord Jesus.
Is it wrong to think of God as Body, Soul and Spirit? It is beyond my mind to even imagine the magnitude of my LORD.
Sure missed Pastor Alister
