The performance of the two coils is very similar. 15 "weighs 970 grams. 14" weighs 1130 grams. The extra $120 is worth it.Light weight is preferred. I like the EVO .
i have the original 4500 made in australia with the elite coil it beats the imported made 4500 hand s down i've tested it same settings same coil same targets.tested the evolution on both detectors about close to the elite but i love the elte on my 45 found a 13.3 gramer at 18 inches 2 weeks back the heap was worn from previous operators inc the 7 and the 6 non of them could pick the target the early 4500 and than elite coil is better than a 7 or 6 .keep them standard buy the early one put on a elte coil throw the rest away. run 11 gain and 9 in enhanced mode happy days.
