It's interesting when you realize that Enya began recording this song in 1999 and it was released in 2000 on "A Day without Rain" - now, nearly 20 years later, it remains timeless, as most Enya songs do. Truly, timeless. I can guarantee that in another 20 years, when the song is pushing 40, you'll be able to come back and listen again and it still sound fresh and happy and overjoyed, just as it does now. As much as I love Chris Brown, Kanye, Beyonce, and Lana Del Rey, sadly a majority of their music will either be forgotten or sound extremely dated. Enya is the real thing.
I really am a fan of Lana, and am pretty sure alot of her stuff is great enough to pass the test of time:) But as a first time listener to Enya, I am really digging it and can totally see your point as to it being 'timeless'. It does have that vibe!

enya has no idea the thousands of children she sang to sleep at night to beautiful dreams. she was the only sound that could quell my chronic sleep anxiety as a child. she inspired me to dream freely, and to this day. so thankful to her, a kind of mother to those she sang to sleep (despite having children herself), and thankful to my mother for playing this for me. the most beautiful gift of music.
The best part about Enya and her music is that she started out as a backup singer for her family's band in Ireland but then her family recognized her talent and when a big music convention was going to happen in America her family helped her get her and then we recognized her talent and her music.
I'm now 34 yrs the first time I heard Enya's music i think i was 20yrs but then i couldn't stop from there it reminds me all my past and feel very sad yet tears behind a smile she's a pain healer anyway.i love her.

Yes, Dark Sky Island is very good and this Enya's comeback is the best of 2015, no doubt about that. I have the all albums from her, she's my favorite artist and singer of all time.
Its a shame how the music has changed. I am young and i do still like this, however most kids my age wouldnt. She has a special talent to sing, just beautiful. I wish more people would listen and just give this music a try, i love her voice and all the songs i heard by her. This is real music! Not what majority of today's society calls "music" with all the autotunes.

L' animation est aussi en complète harmonie, et pousse à l' Amour de la nature, au respect du vivant. Notre Terre est un Paradis. On a envie de rendre au centuple cette tendresse, et à faire le pas vers les autres. Quand le don est spontané, altruiste, le cadeau est l'acceptation du recevoir sans arrières pensées.
