While I would love to see more A320s In Virgin Australia livery the 737 just looks so good in its livery and Australia needs at least one 737 operator :)
Yeah I agree the VA livery on the 737 looks so good. However even if VA started to get more A320s and got rid of 737s (which they won’t any time soon) there’s still Rex, Bonza and Qantas. In fact I believe there’s more 737s than A320s in Australia :)
@@Aviation763 I disagree VA livery does not good on the 737 nor does the name Virgin Australia or previous Virgin Blue. Great for marketing and general travelling public. I wish VA shut down. Hate the name. Doing good job. Ansett 727.
There is definitely more than ‘at least’ one 737 operator in Australia. The 737 family hugely outnumbers the A320 family or any other similar aircraft and there is an extreme lack of variety in terms of narrow-body jets in Australia (you will definitely notice that 8/10 planes you see are 737 family when you go planespotting literally anywhere but Perth).
Hey mate! Another great trip report. I am really excited to be flying again (To Cairns) On June 22. Watching these makes me want to fly even more! Thanks
What you might call a very functional flight. It did the job of getting from A to B on time and in reasonable comfort but without much personality as it were. I quite like those types of journeys - somehow reassuring
Thank you! During covid, flights were super cheap and also there was double status credits for a while. And also Velocity is way easier to get status with than Qantas
Wow, the interior as expected I suppose, is exactly the same as it was when it was with Tiger. Yes the A330s were very nice to fly with at Virgin. If you enjoy aviation history, google 'Ansett A320 Skystar'. There should be a link from 'Travel Update'. Ansett was one of the launch customers for the A320 and received the very first A320-200 ever made, the 22nd off the line. The interiors were amazing.
Aussie RC Yes Ansett was a launch customer of the A320-211. After first order, delivery of CN22 November 1988 was VH-HYA. Quality interior bulkheads velvet seats and Ansett service. 3 Class at times...First, Business and Economy. Ansett 727.
@Aviation763 if you flew it how they usally do it would be. Usally they fly in over Parafield area fly towards hills then curve around and go in where you did so id say definitely Parafield

Wow what a throwback to tiger airways, it’s like a time capsule
Yeah! I wish they were still around
Nice trip report! I like how the interior looks sleek and comfy.
Thanks! Yeah me too.

Cool video! Saw my house when you were coming into land!
Thanks! Ooh that’s cool!

Yes I agree, it was a very functional flight.
Great trip report! However, I do find that I have to turn up my volume a lot when I watch your videos because it is a little quite.
Thank you! Yes, I am well aware of that being an issue. I have since fixed it however it’s still an issue in videos filmed prior to the end of march.
Nice video 👌 very well filmed 👍
Seat color is not that good 😕 did you like it?
Thank you! Not particularly.
Looks nice enough but wouldn't enjoy it on a long route like PER-HBA or PER-DRW
Yeah, fair enough I agree
Great video! Will you be flying on the 737max8 when virgin receives it?
Thank you! I plan to as soon as I can on a domestic flight :)
love the a320 but would love to see more in virgins fleet
Yeah me too!
Hi Hugo again do you know if you get free meal service on Air Asia SYD to KUL A330
Hi, I don’t think so in the regular fare. To be sure check on AirAsias website :)
Nice video, how have you achieved gold status at such a young age? Do you fly for fun or actually need to travel all the time?
Thank you! During covid, flights were super cheap and also there was double status credits for a while. And also Velocity is way easier to get status with than Qantas
@@Aviation763 Interesting, keep up the good videos
the only type of airbus still in the fleet nice
Yeah
7:13 good manners boy
Or a gil
Thanks!
These are ex tiger a320s I think
Yes, i believe all of them are since TigerAir and VA had an agreement to swap some of TigerAirs A320s for some of VAs 737s.

How often you in Adelaide?
Not very often anymore :(
Perth terminal 1 is so nice, it’s shame terminal 3 and 4 are so old and crap
Yeah
That airport you saw looks to be parafeild.
Yeah possibly!
