    If you are looking for a time-efficient way to increase fat loss, speed, strength, balance, and reflexes as well as the condition of your bones, brain, and cardiorespiratory system, jumping rope may be the answer. As a bonus, jumping rope is fun especially as your fitness and skill levels increase. With practice, you'll be able to perform all kinds of cool jump rope moves. Apart from all these benefits, I simply like the sound the rope makes as it spins and cuts through the air before tapping the ground.

    A good honest nike shoe review, mate. You talked about the good points of the shoes but you didn't just give praise, you talked about some negative points and ultimately said you wouldn't buy them again. Good to know. and good to know your feelings about these shoes for jumping rope. ta!

    I got a pair of these and I love them. They have the perfect arc to spring you forward actually making you run faster. My only plight is they aren't water-proof or good in the snow.

      Hey Christopher, I tend to wear my Winflo 6's for shorter practice runs and treadmill running. The shoes I have been wearing for longer runs and races are the Nike Pegasus 36 Trail/Road shoes. I did a 50k in them a few days ago. I've probably done over 300 kilometres in them and they are holding up extremely well. I'm extremely satisfied with them. I reviewed them here if you're interested: ua-cam.com/video/n63I98D20aM/v-deo.html

    It is pretty normal to wear at the heel, but yes it look like they use cheap and thin layer of maybe carbon rubber. Usually those 3 sections are for high wear on the medial side, soft less durable on the lateral side and super high wear on the heel. By separating the sections they each react differently to the compression areas during landing, mid stance and take off. Sadly, heavy wear on the heal like that is usually if not always means the runner is over striding. As the leg swings forward too far the heel will land way in front of center creating high wear and excessive impact that is directed straight up the leg. I really hope your not doing this in your minimal shoes as there is even less cushioning and support to help the situation. Anyways, fantastic video. How did you get the photo for the Pegasus Turbo?

      @thewayofthejumprope  4 роки тому +1

      Great comment Runnergy.
      I try to avoid over striding and heel striking. It is certainly possibly that I do do it especially unknowingly when fatigued. I'm by no means the strongest of runners. I enjoy interacting with other runners and learning from them.
      I actually ran a marathon yesterday and wore the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 36 trail running shoe, which I reviewed recently. I like them. ua-cam.com/video/n63I98D20aM/v-deo.html

    Great review...liked the title "would I buy them again" instead of "should you buy them" btw, bought a pair of Nike free RN 5.0 recently....went for those cos of their high flexibility sole and have been jumping rope on those...very very comfortable...highlights being their light weight, almost a no shoe feel and super flexible sole with good coushining in the 'ball of the feet' area... Only drawback in my view is that the too many grooves may tend to pick up small gravel outdoor and hence have been using it to jump rope in my balcony only...am ok with that as of now...😁👍

      Hi KHK 360, great comment! And thank you for the compliment on the title. I haven't tried the latest Nike Free 5.0's but I certainly would be interested in trying them at some point. I know what you are saying with small pebbles sometimes getting caught in the soles.

      Hello Hitesh, with sportsdirect.com, I paid 60 euro for this pair Nike Flex Run 2019 shoe which I reviewed here: ua-cam.com/video/UUq6Lt512qc/v-deo.html
      I've had them for almost one year. I wore them for a 50k ultra marathon in the mountains, plus did several shorter runs in them, lots of hiking with them, and wore them several times a week for jumping rope. The sole is a bit worn down now, but the mesh is still in great condition.

      @@thewayofthejumprope yeah, not every of our run stride is perfect landing on the ball of the foot, especially when we are at the latter of our run when tiredness started to come. We might land of the heel that causes the the rubber to wear out. Happens to my shoes to. Monitor every step but when the legs tires, heel landing often came 😊

    1:11 150km???? And it is already destroyed? WOW! My shoes after 30km still smell like new.
    Bought it last week for more than 100$ in Russia. And I do not regret it. It fits me perfectly! And all of my running shoes lasting a boring long. I'm 9US, 77 kg, 5.5min/km. And I do not run on asphalt. I run on the 400m rubber running track 30km a week. So my running shoes relatively indestructible.

      Hi there, that's great these Nikes are working well for you. I'm happy to hear that.
      For me, the sole starting tearing off after just 50kms. It's disappointing because I really like the shoe. It fits well and has plenty of cushioning. If these shoes had a different sole on them like the one on the Pegasus Turbo X or the Pegasus 36 trail shoe, I would love them for long distance running.

      I really do like the Winflo 6 but was disappointed with the material tearing off the sole. I was hoping they would be a go-to long distance shoe. I haven't tried the 7's, but it looks like the material on the sole is also divided into three segments. One pair of running shoes that I've heard a lot about is the Nike Air Zoom Turbo X's, which I briefly mentioned in this video. I'd imagine they are comfortable like the Winflo 6's and have a more durable looking sole.
      For the past few weeks, I have been doing plenty of walking and running in another pair of Nikes, the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 36 Trail Running Shoes. I've already done a good few miles in them, but I will do more before making a review video on them.
