DISCLAIMER: This entire hobby project of mine is not a complaint that WoW looks “bad” or my opinion on how WoW should look. I know, and I agree, that the artstyle WoW currently has is awesome and fits the game 10 times better than this would. That is not the point of this at all, this is just me having fun in Unreal 4. Still planning to make it available for download once VR headsets start becoming a thing.

+69lol69 Thank you! And thanks for the feedback. Yes the interior of the inn is a little dull at the moment. I'm currently working on adding rugs, decorations, food and more cozy lights. Stay tuned!

Yeah it would take only 5-6 years to remake it then like year or two beta testing to wipe out most bugs. After all that effort you would achieve nothing because only irrelevant people like you want this.
Have to get rid of Ion first. They guy doesn't even play the game. #fail
@@Alen725 5-6 years dev if you are spending 4 million per year. Blizzard made 1.3 billion in 3 months. One tenth of that 3 months revenue and the game would be done in 18 months.
Mad Max This would be World of Warcraft 2, which would be nice to bring over old characters from the first world of Warcraft and restart at the starting level but for those that do that have a unique portrait around their character and retain certain vanity things for the times they played in the old wow. And maybe retell the story differently like they did with eq 1 & 2 or with fma and fma brotherhood.

@Chiruscda yeah tons of work, but it would be worth it. Vanilla on UE 4 engine. Epic game remade even more epic.
If they have to make WoW 2 for this then the only way i'll play that is if i can transfer all of my characters, mounts, companions, transmog, toys, heirlooms, and achievements to it since they took a lot of work especially Battlemaster, Kahn, Frostbitten, Bloody Rare, and the rare mounts that took forever

Incredible work! Elwynn looks amazing. My favourite area in the game is Eversong Woods and I'd love to see it in HD like this if you ever plan on doing more of these

oh god it's been over a decade since I first set foot in elwynn forest... Still remember this crazy wonderful world and it almost brings tears to my eyes... which is impressive since I have not cried in many many years now.

If all character models where in this detail it would lag like crazy because they would be too detailed for the server and engine to handle. There could be 80 people in goldshire and if you render them all your computer would crash.
Yes they should make the graphic like this, just let players to choose from low to high detail. If user's pc cannot handle this high graphic, then they should lower it
No wow would look like the modern black desert RPSHIT it would lose its magic.
Asmodeus well, even changing graphics from preWoD to WoD was terrible for a lot of players that there are actually patches to use old graphics.
When you get used to graphics it's really hard to change them.
I mean, unreal engine graphics look way more reallistic, but that's not what a good chunk of players want to see.
The idea of being able to swap between old and unreal engine graphics seems good to me tho, but that would increase the weight of the game a loooot

The technology is here now. The only thing that stops it is the stupidity at Blizzard. They treat players like cockroaches. They don't care at all what we want. Players are $15 per month, and they are pulling in $400 million per month = a players opinion means nothing to them. They are losing 1 million subs per month and STILL have Ion making decisions for them.
I will GLADLY pay to play this version of wow...The music and scenery of gold shire together made me feel like returning home lol...makes a grown man cut onions

Seeing Elwynn Forest in this quality and with the high sound quality of the music with it... lord, the feels this caused! There are a few other places in the game that would be even harder on my heart, but I'm afraid to tell you what they are. In a way, I'm glad this isn't in the game. I'd never leave.

You have no idea how much this means to me. I can write a thousand wall of texts describing how beautiful this is, but I will only tell ya that ye have me in tears of joy, remember the little girl crying when she got too excited about going to Disney? There, you have me in there instead.
I do recommend ya to use the original (vanilla) music for the zones and ye will kill many old players of happiness.

The sad part about this is how there are no characters. To me it feels like a tribute to the Original WOW and in my mind this is how I imagine the world. A long forgoten empty landscape where I spent the better years of my late teenhood. Such amazing memories with me and my friends. Amazing nostalgia.
