That bronco bug looks really similar to the OSP Dolive beaver and of course the Berkley Nessie ripped off the Grow Design Flag 170 and 250. I’m definitely going to give those new Yamamoto worms a try though!
Tbh it looks like wheeler just took his favorite baits and just got them replicated or knocked off by Rapala he got the Mayor paddle tail. Which is just a storm largo shad, u got the ned bait which is pretty much a z-man TRD and the craw bait is a KO of the osp dolive beaver. Which just tells me he's probably been using that bait for a while now under the radar and sick of paying for them lmao.
I’m sure he can afford them but these guys have to use their sponsors stuff. Obviously been using the other stuff. So I guess you just rip off their designs?!? Like last years “new” Bass Mafia swimbaits. Lol. That spro is a scat bait. That other one looks like a spunk shad. Not so much new but “borrowed” designs.
What’s the difference between ordering knockoffs from China or buying “new” designs?!?! Man. I feel for the guys that can put YEARS into designing baits and then have them ripped off.
I’ve wanted to try a 13 Fishing rod but there’s a few things stopping me. One is the shorty handles on every model (except swimbait rods) but even a flipping stick type rod 7’6”HF rod will have a 14-15” handle where I prefer a 16.5”-17.5” handle. But more importantly the main thing that’s keeping me from buying is the dozens and dozens of reviews of broken rods and the “ nonexistent” customer service from 13 Fishing. This is the main reason why I’ve never bought any of their rods.
Everyone should really stop supporting these big companies making these knock off baits. Go buy a flag from grow design works or some OSP plastics, there all way better quality anyway. These big companies like Berkley and Rapala are all about cost efficient baits for maximum profit, the originals are made to pioneer the sport, not pimp it out. Don’t be a googan!
Thanks for the product reviews. I have absolutely fallen in love with the Berkley Gilly, but most of my local lakes are primarily Shad-forage lakes. I was so stoked when you presented the Shad-e. This will be on my line as soon as possible. If it swims like the Gilly, I can guarantee it will be a big-fish producer. 😊
The original Issei gill flat is better than the gilly and swims straight without having to anything to it. They also have a larger version thats 5inches and comes with a rigged harness and floats vs slow sink but u can tune it with foam inserts or nail weights.
FC all the whiners I see in the comments just stfu damn. I love all the new baits coming out. Companies will come out with baits because they Wana make money. I love that we have expos and websites where we can get tackle and in a hurry. Used to have fill out a slip from a catalog and mail it.
