I shamelessly spammed Devil Kazuya's flying laser and his reverse flying laser lol, but I went back and did it properly after
Maintain the correct spacing for punishing shakunetsu hadokens with flying lasers. When he gets close, wait for his moves to leave him at minus then punish and use pushback moves to establish the neutral back. I used Street Fighter zoning techniques against him.
I haven't beaten him on 10 stars but haven't tried a lot either.
YellowMotion wait for an opportunity for a pushing akuma.

You see folks this is what happens when Namco Tekken get's their hands on a street fighter character, they make them great quality and add Tekken Flare making them even more badass, specially graphics wise.
Akuma was always strong in SF because of his offensive arsenal. He was banned from one of the SF2 versions in competitive scene even. In SFV he is Top 3-5 character since launch but I get what you are saying. Akuma in T7 is the beast!
You know akuma in this game is just an extra for the unfinished game, tekken X street fighter? It was the sequel to street fighter X tekken.
Personally, I think the way that the inclusion of guest characters in Tekken 7 has been implemented is an abomination and a disgrace to the franchise!
But he's from Street Fighter. He doesn't belong in Tekken.

the 2 people that disliked this broke their game because they couldn't beat this stage even on Easy mode ...and I don't blame them ...
I gave up in Normal after 50 or more tries and beat it in easy mode.
I'm not very good at fighting games but Akuma was a little unfair.

Honestly I learned to punish akuma on easy. Got to use the 3d movement when he fireballs. But on normal he heals which makes it a tad bit unfair.

Soooooo I'm pretty sure everyone experienced that Focus attack into Raging demon wich basically one-shots you even at full Health right?
avoid it with b3+4, it teleports kaz back a few steps
you can simply crouch when he does focus, he will just stop doing it and even if he does it all it won't hit at all since it's considered a High attack

Those hating on the Tekken 7 Soundtrack... it's not the best, but it's not the worst. In my humble opinion, the Tekken series does not have any bad soundtracks where all the tracks are not great. Some may be better than others, but I think we let our expectations get in the way.

Yeah honestly they managed dub step and other tracks equally. They equalised both in the game. Honestly I like almost all themes. Tekken 7 is pretty underrated in soundtrack

Spam lasers with Kazuya when you're close. It has armor.Remember you can also be a cheap opponent for the cheap AI.

RG Mercer yeah but its not worth it the recovery is slow as hell. One mistake and youre dead (if you face him on hardest difficulty)
But you lose health when he hits you or shots fireballs at you I had to put this on easy it is way to fucking hard

akuma takes it for me. on the nightmare train I could at least use my main leo but I SUCK at using kazuya... with or without badass Devil form
You can cheat Nightmare train by using Gatling gun to force DJ off the train. I always use nightmare train for spam items. So for me, Akuma is more frustrating.
Nightmare starts hard as a first, but once we get used to it, it becomes easy. It will be the same thing with Akuma.

The opening of the soundtrack gives you some raw strength...phew
Punishing Akuma is hard to counter as D. Kazuya. Make sure you EWGF and combos as close to him and when he's spamming fireballs, just laser him after you sidestep, and REPEAT.
If you can’t overpower Akuma you need to study his movements. Analysis is key to victory.
