When travelling with a group of friends, we each contribute an equal amount of money as “revolving funds” and let one handle the money, so when we go out to eat or pay for taxi etc, we just get it from the “funds”. Instead of always having to divide the food cost or taxi fare etc. Saves everyone time.
Rather than doing that and carrying cash, my group usually put all charges on a credit card and if cash is needed one person has cash. At the end of the trip, all expenses are tallied and split amongst everyone so people send the money to one person. This is really convenient if you’re in a group and you trust each other to pay you back :)
Aside from the ones mentioned (which I'm happy to share I've been practicing both for work and personal trips), I also: 1. Get travel insurance (for personal travel) 2. Bring: -reusable laundry bag to separate used clothes from unused ones (I always bring extra clothes), -reusable water bottle, -at least 1 pen (for filling out forms) -universal power adapter 3. Leave a printed copy of important travel info (flight scheds, accommodation details, companion details) at home (for parents' reference)
I had experienced lost luggage from a long haul flight and after that I kept a practice to bring clothes and small toiletries on my hand carry. And that foldable bathroom slippers are very convenient especially when going to the lavatory. So glad we got the same practice when travelling, and learned more from you
Ahh!! Such good timing! I just came back from a trip to Paris. Before that, I’ve been binge watching travel/packing tips videos and haven’t stopped! I feel so giddy that one of my fave b/vloggers have posted one too 😆 I’m travelling to the Philippines this coming April and I can’t get enough of these vids! A lot of your packing tips are something I’ve never heard before so it’s really really useful madam Camille! As in grabe, I love you and your very informative videos! Thank you so much 😆♥️
Yay! Almost all your travel tips I've been practicing as well. Except for leaving the passport, I'm actually anxious not bringing it with me when I'm outside cause I might get in trouble somewhere and our passport is our ID in the foreign land. 😅 Yes, reviews are really important. Before travelling, need talaga mag research to avoid scams and waste of money. Thanks for this tips Cams. The best ka talaga 🤗😘
Another tip I can add when you are traveling in groups, when exchanging your PH money, make sure you get small foreign bills. When we travelled the first time, only one of us was in charge of having all our PH money exchanged. As a result, we were given a few 1,000 singapore dollars. Needless to say, when we arrived in Singapore, we had trouble looking for restos or shops that would take our bills because we didn't really go to luxury shops or bought super expensive items. 😅
Everything you said are all useful and I’ve been using these everytime I travel. Thank you for this, Cams❤️ God Bless you! P.S. Your face when your dog barks unleashes the Madame in you 😂✨
Yes! I also believe in leaving the passport in the hotel room. My friends bring it along with them when we tour and I cannot trust myself to do that! So thanks for confirming that it's a good travel tip hahaha
Excluding the out of the country trips/travels, I have pretty much have done half of the list every time I travel domestically. When we experience so much in traveling, either by plane, land, or sea, we always learn one tip on every trip. One more tip that I have learned when I travel by plane is to have an estimate the weight of your check-in baggage so you won't be able to pay extra or trying to open and close at the counter. Before you buy the luggage, ask how much the luggage already weighs before you put in your clothes and other essentials so you will know how much you will put in and to avoid paying the excess. #Beasmarttraveler
Agree on getting a local sim when you travel. It makes going around so convenient. It's also helpful if you travel with a big group, you can easily get in touch in case you get separated. :)
So TRUE!!! Been practicing these tips since. One thing though, I bring extra waterproof bag for used clothes/laundry kasi I don’t want my unused clothes to be halo sa used ones. Haha. The OC in me!!! 😂
I am going to travel in a few days and this really helped! I was already making a list of things that I need and this gave me a double-check kinda situation thank you! always the best from one of my faves!
Thank you for this video!! 💕 Will be traveling with family next month and I'm also planning to travel alone at the end of the year! Super useful vlog!! P.S. love your whole look!! 😍
My top travel tips: - Invest on a WATER BOTTLE WITH FILTER. Im sure no one wants to pay for water so unless I'm in a really sketchy place, I feel safe just getting water from the tap with my lifestraw water bottle. - Bring MULTI-USB CHARGER. Way easier than bringing an extension cord. - PACKING CUBES!!! Reduces luggage space even as good as vacuum bags without the hassle. - CHECK-IN ONLINE. Idk why some still don't but at least the web checkin line is shorter lol. - If with a group of friends, contribute to a GROUP FUND instead of chipping in every transaction. Saves sooo much time and brain cells. - Winter outfits... use a comfy SHAPING CAMISOLE as first layer. Makes me feel less fat in thick winter clothes hahaha - If you don't have USD (meaning earn in PHP and just change to USD for travel), the multi-currency conversion is actually worse than just converting money in the PH. So just EXCHANGE PHP TO WHATEVER CURRENCY HERE then have a bit of USD for emergency money abroad. - PACK OUTFITS not by clothes category. Less time wasted putting together looks and no rummaging through luggage. - SET ASIDE SLEEPING CLOTHES FOR EASY ACCESS. When you're tired last thing you wanna do is look for your comfy clothes at the bottom of the suitcase. - SHOP AT DEPARTMENT STORES because they do collective tax refund and you will most likely reach the minimum compared to individual stores.
Thank you for the tips. All very useful. I always have that folded duffel bag with me. I Use it for my used clothes so I have my purchases with me in my hand carry. As for the passport, I always carry it with me at all times. Sometimes you have to show it to the stores to get a discount and in case something happens and you need identification, it is with you.
how about getting Travel insurance? Like some travel insurance covers lost baggage, delayed flights. They can give you a full refund or 1/2 or 1/4 of the total amount
Camille Co Actually hindi pa ko kumukuha. Haha. But I'm planning to get travel insurance for our next trip. Hope you can have a vlog about that soon or with some experts about that 😉
I know it is diffiult to come up with videos like this, but i want you to know po, ikaw po nakaka alis ng pagod, inis or kung ano mang badvibes sakin. Im always looking forward to watch your videi. Kahit 3hrs straight papanuorin ko hehehe. Godbless po
Invest to a wifi pocket (pokefi) where you can use everywhere in the world than buying local sim everytime you travel. A little tip from a international cabin crew here. It’s a must for us since we always out of the country. 🙋🏻♀️
ELLA I think that’s good too! But I bring such a small bag I prefer just putting the sim in my phone so I don’t have to add more stuff in my super tiny (but pretty 😂) bag
Aside from medicines, always always always bring and take your vitamins! The tourist crowd, the change of weather, and the long nights are just some of the reasons to make us prone to viruses. 🙂
You cannot buy antibiotics OTC it needs prescription. But nevertheless all the things you've mentioned about medicine 👍🏼. Antihistamine is also a good emergency drug (just in case you're allergic to something)
Got sick in Japan and it took us 15 mins before the pharmacist can understand that we wanted meds for colds. Haha Been bringing my own meds kit since then.
PA de Guzman Personally it varies but I generally check klook. Usually they sell cheaper then you just collect at the destination airport. Big Sky Nation in NAIA sells as well but they offer limited countries. Again not always the case. For example Thailand and Australia's local travel sim is cheaper than those sold online.
Shout out to Mr. Joni Koro for the tip. Airport Money Exchange is a Scam. We went to Budapest only with Euros in hand. So we decided to change at the airport only to find out theres a big difference when you have your money exchange in the city. Great tips Ms. Camille Co!💙
Saan po ba nakakabili ng CherryRoam? Parati syang ina advertise ng mga celebs. Has anyone experienced (or baka tayo lang mga Pilipino ang gumagawa nito) na may dalang small luggage kapag nag sho shopping abroad? Any thoughts? I was doing the "knock on wood" thing when you say the worst case scenarios *gasp*
I experienced that too in JFK airport, I’m too tired that time so I decided to ride a cab going to friend’s house. He asked for 70$ and I agreed, but then dropped me off, he told me it was 150$ that we agreed upon, smh
@@Itscamilleco I'm actually in Portugal after watching your Honeymoon Vlog and my itinerary was to go to the places you went lol loving it here so much Thank you!!!

Splitwise app is also useful for dividing payments within a group. It's so convenient to use!
