From all the stories my parents have told us. This is how I imagined my father grew up. Orphaned at a young age and being tossed from relative to relative. The only love he received was from his uncle (who we know as our only "grandpa"). When he passed away in 2003 that was the first time I ever saw my dad cry. I was 18 yrs old at the time and never saw my dad cry until that day. We lost my father in 2020 after he suffered a stroke. I'll never let any of my siblings go through what my father went through.
Sorry for your loss first of all. Not comparing but I think it's worst when it's the father though, especially for funerals. Imagine losing that connection with his side of the family first then when your mom passes there is literally no one you can go to since her family say it's on your dad's side that has bury her. In the end you don't have neither parents and no one to turn to.

I’m no nstuag but growing up, I was always told by aunts and uncles that nobody, no other race will love you like your own blood. As soon as my dad passed away, blood literally treats my family and myself like crap and does not show love or even just love us at all. It is and was the ones who aren’t blood that shows love and actually loves us. To a certain point and situation, blood WILL love you more than anyone else, not mines. My mom isn’t doing too well after my dads passing. We’re all doing our best on our own without relatives help. It sucks but we all that are going through a similar situation just have to keep our head up high and smile and keep going, not letting negativity get to us.

I’m no nstuag but growing up, I was always told by aunts and uncles that nobody, no other race will love you like your own blood. As soon as my dad passed away, blood literally treats my family and myself like crap and does not show love or even just love us at all. It is and was the ones who aren’t blood that shows love and actually loves us. To a certain point and situation, blood WILL love you more than anyone else, not mines. My mom isn’t doing too well after my dads passing. We’re all doing our best on our own without relatives help. It sucks but we all that are going through a similar situation just have to keep our head up high and smile and keep going, not letting negativity get to us.
