My buddy has a Pelicano 18 that he completed with a center console (slightly offset) and I'm super impressed as to the functionality of it all, especially how quickly and effortlessly get's up on plane with very little bow rise. A real grocery-getter here in Puget Sound. I expect I'll be building one for myself one of these days, though might bump up to the 23 footer. TBD. The best Interior style (center console, Shrimper, or Bass) for me is still a question I'm having a hard time answering. What interior are you planning?
I bought the shrimper plans. I want to be able to take it on overnight adventures. That's actually where I think I'll take this channel after the build is complete. I seriously considered the 23 foot plans. It would have fit in my shop with a few feet to spare but I was just worried about cost to build, ect. So I tell myself "maybe next boat" 😂
