virtual production is the future! and hey! I'm curious though. could backdrop, tracking, fuse fx, and actual lighting work in sync? for example arri orbiter measure and match ambient lighting, would that also match backdrop in sync?
oh yeah. even the camera filming them caught accurate colors from the screen.
Stills backgrounds? Looks like something from the 1990's. Having a still of rippling water is perhaps not the best example. You'd be better off going out and fliming your own background, or loop a clip from an online library and if needs be, colour process that any video edit software.
The most common use case for this would have the screen very, very out of focus in the background. You could go film your own backgrounds, but you have to send people to do that or go do it yourself and you couldn’t edit it using simple sliders. We’re standing up against the screen to show changes using the app, but for a film I’d separate talent from the volume. You can also see mist and cloud effects already loop in the program. This is meant for folks without time/resources to make custom elements for virtual production.
