- In this clip from Fueled By Death Cast, Titus Welliver tells the tale of how Coltrane the dog became part of the cast of Bosch. Titus had a hand in casting the dog, and he looks ahead towards sharing scenes with Coltrane in Season 6, out on April 17, 2020 on Amazon Prime.

Titus is extremely insightful. Until this video I had no idea that Coltrane was his idea. He's spot-on with both the breed, and the influence Coltrane made on season 5. The emotional manipulation of having Coltrane run off during the gunfight, and then return later to the deck window was superbly written and directed. I'm getting a little lump in my throat right now just typing this. Thank you Titus.
I'm glad they added Coltrane! With Maddie becoming an adult, Harry needs someone in his life.

Titus, brilliant as usual. I loved that scene at the end where the dog appears. Where my heart was sinking, the dog appeared and my wife and i let out a sigh of relief.
They captured one of the simple things a dog brings to humans in a subtle and beautiful way in that one closing scene. Well done!

Coltrane is a bluey and they are tough, disciplined, loyal and intelligent. And I like his relationship with Bosch.

I read Two Kinds of Truth, the book season 5 was based on, before it came out. Coltrane was such a great addition. You can tell Titus Welliver really understands his character. I hope this show keeps going for many more years.

Coltrane is the spitting image of my good girl, Snoop. I loved every dog I had throughout my life but Snoop and I had a special bond. She's no longer with me but it warms my heart every time Coltrane is on screen.
As an Australian, I'm disappointed in myself for missing the Mad Max blue heeler reference. But we do like to see an Australian in EVERY American television show!!
Can't beat a Heeler - have three at present. They are definitely bold,

I have been meaning to watch Bosch for quite a while. Then this all comes out. I saw the spin-off trailer and that sealed the deal. I started binge watching a couple of weeks ago. Holy cow what a great show. I can’t wait to see the introduction of Coltrane to the story. Having a blue heeler myself I can’t disagree that the breed isn’t the perfect match for Harry.
Isn’t it nice to have a say when your one of the Producer.. binged watched Bosch! Loved it... would love to see him smile or be isn’t normal????

I got a 6 month old Bluey myself. He proved his worth at 3 months when he went to war with a 100 lb black lab that knocked me over at the dog park. Not giving him up for anything.

Have had Australian Cattle dogs for years and the show depicts them accurately, not trying to give them human behaviors. They are smart and excellent watch dogs that have no fear. Somehow my current red healer recognizes people in uniforms as opposed to casually dressed people. If I have a plumber or delivery guy come to the house I have to put the dog up because she will circle around behind them and sneak up and bite them on the heal.
The dog is a Heeler, perfect. Notice the white snip on the head, they all have it, It's known officially as "Bently's Mark".
We in the cow biz call it "The Aimin' Spot!". If ever a breed inspired the whole love hate thing, it's the Heeler. Fearless, heart as big as a bucket and muley headed. I've had them all my adult life, I'm sick like that...
