Good to hear you Matt, I might was just so used to Big Ben long prime but Picket is worst qb I have seen for long long time, so all my hopes are that Rusell still got it and Field is gonna be a fast learner, all together will be 200% better than last season, and I forgot we have finally a real OC ...
The completion metric assumes all pass attempts are the same regardless of defensive excellence or gaffes. But as you pointed out the plus minus can provide a better metric.
Hey Matt! Would you care to check the stats for short/gimme passes? I remember a lot of missed throws on screens and dump off routes. How does Russell Wilson compare to Pickett, Trubisky, and Rudolph?
I keep hearing about how much better the QB room is this year, with no reference to how bad the OC was. The QB room failed last year because the coaching staff failed them. I will hold judgment until the season starts, but I will give you no credit for waiting too long to fix your mistakes. KP and MR failed because the coaching staff was not NFL ready.
@@solohour that goes to my point, they waited too long to ditch the OC, when they had players good enough to win. Then they run them both out of town like they were the main problem.
Don't totally blame Canada, Pickett stunk, he never saw so many wide open receivers because of panic. Trubisky was horrible also, the one they should have kept was Mason.
I hope you had a great weekend. I've been a Steelers fan since '69 and I hope I'm wrong, but I think Wilson and Fields - along with the season's tough schedule - kill the '24 Steelers. Maybe Harris and Warren run for about 2800 yards combined to save the season.
I agree Matt, if all that we see stands this season, my goodness. I certainly hope this is the case and some. Thank you Matt, another good one.
Really good practical stats to put things in applicable perspective🤙🏾.
Thanks! Added up
Great way to look at COMP %
They were in love with Mitch Trubisky!!! 😅😂

With Russell Wilson completing 92 of 112 passes BEHIND the line of scrimmage (82%) in 2023, how did that affect the stats +/- you spoke of today?
Matt, please let us know if / when you find the plus minus stat for Mason. Thanks!
Myron always said the Bengals are Bungles. Still holds true. Case in hand ( pun intended) with Burrow now able to play Elton John songs at halftime
I think Russ is going to be even better than you think. Last year stats was playing for a coach that was trying to get him fired.
👍

OK, then how do you account for the fact that it was an instant transformation when Mason took over?
