The kitchen door is there to protect the escape route. The kitchen is the most likely place for a fire to start. So the door gives sleeping occupants time to escape before the hallway fills with smoke and fire. Please keep it shut, especially when you’re having a Nanna nap.
The renos continue, but at the end of this process, your apartment will look absolutely stunning.
Just a thought ..if you wanted matching cushions , you could send for another curtain and have some made ?? Just a thought ??

Doors to the kitchen depend on the house in the US, I think. My mother’s house where I grew up has doors between the kitchen and the dining room and the kitchen and the front hall. But there are plenty of other houses that have no doors between the kitchen and other rooms. And for my sister’s house, there are doors leading into the front hallway, but they are never closed. I think there’s essentially a pretty wide variety of possibilities.
My hubby just ate a Hello Fresh meal and said it was as good as a restaurant meal
