Cool to actually see the improvised set that was thrown together when it became apparent that the truck carrying the BDB stage was not going to make it to Toronto in time for the show. Footage shows DD, MB and GB obviously happy to not be locked within the confines of the BDB set.
Eternal gratitude to Speedy for capturing this crucial piece of Alice Cooper history. Had no idea actual footage existed of the "Alice Cooper Holiday Tour" of '73. And so close to the stage! What a treat!
I was at the Alice Cooper show in Vancouver when he fell off the stage. While he was at the Burnaby General Hospital getting stitched up, Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter (in black top hats and capes) performed a guitar battle for what seemed liked 10-15 minutes They were awesome! Alice came back and did Only Women Bleed but couldn't finish the show due to a concussion and cracked ribs. It was shaping to be an awesome show. Sad he never came back to give Vancouver the full show. Suzi Quatro opened. She was fun.
Many thanks! No, sorry. Not much Alice left in our collection. Still trying to find audio for the Alice Cooper May 2 1975 video we have up, so we can do something similar to this video. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment.
best thing I ever watched on You Tube!! are you kidding me ? live songs from muscle of love-Fantastic!! - this made me laugh and brought joy into my heart! Speedy! thanx a billion !!!
Wow, thank you! What a complement. I just read it out loud to our entire crew. Thank you thank you thank you. All of this work has been a labor of love. This means a lot. Thanks
What a great time to be in your teens !!! Ohhh those kick ass days of Rocking F&@king Roll in its Prime !!! Great Video, Thanks for posting. Lots of memories here !!! R.I.P. Glen
Thank you so much. So glad you enjoyed it. I also did a 'creative edditing job' and release the full song of 'schools out" also on our channel. Make sure to check it out
that was great.. I heard about it but never knew there was footage of it. I had seen him very close to that time in Ann Arbor, a suburb of Detroit.. but the stage was there for that... really enjoyed watching the band beat up Santa Claus,,, (Bob Green).. he wrote the book Billion Dollar Baby based on this tour
Ya we have a 'Pop up Dolph' video on our channel where we talk about a whole bunch of cool facts having to do with this show. check it out link bellow ua-cam.com/video/-T7HT-nLkyM/v-deo.html
I was at that show I was looking forward to the guillotine but it was destroyed in teledo Ohio ,apparently they think Alice Cooper is the devil, they were throwing shit at the band and I guess it got a little out of hand. Fans rushed the stage and destroyed some of the equipment, this was all in the paper back billion dollar babies, very interesting book.
Finally at the 11:10 mk., we get a glimpse of Mick Mishbir. The guitarist they brought on to cover Glen Buxton's guitar parts on the Billion Dollar Babies/Muscle Of Love tours.
The last time I saw a band with that many Marshall amps lining the back of the stage, it was either Blue Cheer or the Jimi Hendrix Experience. I tell you, Alice Cooper must have been ready to play LOUD!
They knew how to put on a show. No backing tracks, just great musicians who know how to use the stage. The Muscle of Love material comes over very well. Glad this exists....precious little does of this end of an era for Alice Cooper the band. Looks like they were having a great time. Glad I got into Alice when I did in 1975. I had no idea they were this fantastic. I found a bunch of second hand Alice LPs and on my pocket money I could only buy one....that one was Love it to Death. I got the rest in time.
Rock on! We have the zztop video as well on our channel, check it out. Hope we brought back some old memories. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment
Glad you enjoyed it! It is tricky with the way the old video tech only recording 3min reels. But I was able to pull off a few tricks to help the flow of the video. Please subscribe, we have much more to come.
Glad you enjoyed it! Any 8mm audio sync is a labor of love and we have some amazing people working with us to bring these videos to life. Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment and please subscribe.
you tubev is a blessing, sometimes! and this is one of those times. This footage not only captures an overlooked period in AC Band history it also captures the feel of the moment, ts both amateur - ish and pro shot at the same time. thanks for sharing this Speedy
This was AWESOME!!. Seeing them in their sailor suits for the "Muscle Of Love" tour was such a treat. As a life long fan I thank you for sharing this rare slice of rock history. It's made my day, thankyou!😊
Great footage! Totally was not expecting to see Muscle of Love footage! Great to see Glen Buxton there as well...plenty of rumours that he did not play on this tour. Maybe the session guys were in the wings, but still good to see him there!
Man seeing these amazing videos you have posted, it really goes to show what a spectical concerts were at that say in age. I was born in 78 so I didn't get to see shows other than TV til the mid 90s, and over time I can see how technology has begun to take away from actual concert aspect. I can only imagine what someone's mid 70s mind would actually think of this massive stage, loud instruments, and no $20 beers. Would love that DeLorean to go be a, part of all this. :)
I hear you. The show man ship was unbelievable, a true art form. I was born in the 80s so I am in the same boat but looking at all these videos we both really missed out. Thank you for watching and please subscribe and click the BELL icon to ALL so you do not miss a thing
@@speedysfilms Wow I thought that I had subbed, and I guess I didn't. Oh well I have now and about to plow through some more of your awesome content! Thanks for sharing all of it.
Just great. Thank you Speedy! I once shot a concert of solo Alice as a photographer. All the wide-angle shot pics of Alice and the snake went bust as the film did not get in to the grooves, the best shots ever that did not materialize.. : ) Thanks for this though!
Around this era, Alice played in Rio and TV Globo filmed in 16mm the show and broadcasted it several times, it maybe the best document of him, but they never released it again and maybe it was destroyed in one of the fires the TV suffered.
oh man I wish I could get a hold of those reels. Me and my friends would make that look like gold. Hopefully it is not lost to the ages. Thank you so much for this comment
@@speedysfilms perhaps it was Nelson Motta (lives in NYC now - Igues) that filmed it, he had a show called Sabado Som (Sound on Saturday) that was renamed Rock Concert so he may have filmed and released at Globo. Who knows?
Despite all the odds they put on a great show. Nice to see a few glimpses of Mick Mashbir behind or to the right of MB and Bob Dolin on keys. Also nice to see MB pointing to Alice's crotch during working up a sweat.
Tons of videos. We have a 4k Genesis video dropping this Sunday(link below). We have to many reels to count with 30+ bands. Just takes time to sync and produce these videos. Please subscribe so you do not miss a thing. ua-cam.com/video/jLdFLl6iMek/v-deo.html
And to think bands nowadays will cancel shows because they don't have their laptops lol....saw this show in Buffalo. Muscle of Love...great underappreciated Cooper album.
BTW Muscle of Love really was trying to get back to roots. The material wasn´t just recorded good enough. Great songs. Who knows what would have happened with Bob Ezrin at the helm..? Maybe it was just the way or the other..?
Bob Ezrin did start as producer on "Muscle of Love." But, once in the studio, Michael Bruce insisted they already had their arrangements worked out, and resisted Ezrin's input. Ezrin chose to step away. It's an underrated album (still better than anything solo Alice has released since,) but would've been even better if the "sixth member of Alice Cooper" had been allowed to work his magic.
Thanks for uploading this! I grew up only knowing the footage from "Good to See You Again Alice Cooper", and had this entire concert on cassette since I was a teenager. I've uploaded the full concert transferred from tape a couple years ago here: ua-cam.com/video/PeXpMmZKyUo/v-deo.html Remember the Coop!

One of my first Cooper concerts. Was a Great show.
The band was dressed in the sailor uniforms that were featured in the artwork of the new album (released just a month earlier) Muscle of Love.
