Yeah like yes elena has been through some shit ok ik but Katherine worked for everything she got and she was on the run for 500 and became a legend and yes she might be "evil" but she was made that way by being betrayed and betrayed and did most of it like she said to survive that's why I love her

I think katherine succeeded partially because she said in 8×15 that if I can't have stefan than no one can. And stefan died. She just wasn't able to take revenge for Nadia.
