Gets a bit frustrating when Simon and Jim don't even let Martin finish a sentence. They ask him a question, only to talk over him non-stop when he tries to answer.
maybe if he could string a full sentence together without pausing they wouldnt , Martin thinks he is a lot more intelligent than he is
You're exaggerating
@@ausp5078 ask him a simple question that warrants a ten word reply and he will drool on with a fifty word reply that does not answer the question .
@@josiekaposie5783 I replied to the original post and not yours
He takes far too long to speak,he isnt upto live radio
Martin. We still love you at Forest. The club is not the management that makes decisions at a point in time. The spirit of the city, the fans, the ground. That's what you fell in love with. It still loves you.
As a Forest fan it’s sad to hear that Martin feels this way
Not that many white players in this Forest squad.
Jesus Christ is my saviour! I will never abandon him!
@@johnmitchell2269maybe the team should employ Suella Braverman to control the number of minorities in the team.
@johnmitchell2269 is that a problem? COYR
@@johnmitchell2269 your comment whistled so loudly it woke the dog up.
Can’t deny I’m disappointed with Martin O’Neill’s comments here. I get he’s upset about being sacked, but it’s in the past now. I really don’t think he should let 19 matches overshadow all of the success he had with the club as a player and the relationship he had with the fans. In all honesty, he became Forest manager too late in his career. We needed the Leicester/Celtic version of Martin O’Neill. He was past his best by the time he became our manager. His 4-4-2 tactics were outdated too. He’ll always be a club legend, but I wish he’d kept these views to himself to be honest.
@@bigduphusaj162good point actually, I forgot about that. Really sad time for him.
Good point
You might be disappointed but imagine how he felt getting the sack at 19 games for a manager his statute. After all he did for the club as a player to treat him that way is shocking.
@@peter4363and I get your point and I’m not saying he doesn’t have the right to feel upset. But Marinakis made the decision. Have your personal grudge with him. Don’t imply you don’t care about Forest anymore. Also, Stuart Pearce is an even bigger club legend than O’Neill. He was sacked (albeit he had more time than O’Neill), but he’s never come out and bad mouthed Forest or shown any resentment towards the club.
@@peter4363sentiment aside he was paid to do a job and he wasn’t doing it well enough according to the people paying him all that money. These people in football getting paid hundreds of thousands per year getting mardy because they’re not doing their job well enough is beyond comprehension!
I can understand his frustration because he went out of his way to take the reins for the Forest job and Marinakis did what he did quite often at the time. Aside from the Derby win, we struggled to really perform under O'Neill. He's still loved by the fans for obvious reasons.
@@thesedreamsarefreehe turned them down previously cause we were a basket case under Fawaz.
I love Martin O’Neil, when he was with us at Villa we had some great times. I’m not worried.
It's probably because Cooper is doing a great job now, us managers get salty really easily 😅
Someone’s still bitter that Cooper is doing something him and another 15 or so managers couldn’t achieve
Boring football?
@@dibbley1448premiere league football.
@@dibbley1448 boring football makes a lot more sense at Premier League level when you're fighting for every point against teams often with more resources than you. Forest under Cooper were never ever boring to watch in the championship, unlike O'Neill and most of his predecessors. By the end of the season we were ripping teams apart.
@@dibbley1448 Our football has been pretty exciting as of late ngl, we aren't the finished product but every game we look more and more like a top team
Im just Pleased Forest got some air time on talkSPORT
Everyday Martin is on he mentions Clough and the European cup at some point.
I agree as a Villa fan with the airtime comment. Switch on most days at any time and they are usually banging on about the same two or three clubs.
@@robertpowell7228 yeah liverpool ,man utd , spurs , they have pushed man citeh to fourth 😃🤣🤣😂😂
As a forest fan I was disappointed how they dismissed Martin O’Neill but he should think of the fans that show him so much love
I could listen to Martin oneil talk about cloughie all day
Sour grapes from an ex villa manager. Forest are doing much better this season.
@@user-tn8uu2cu8g no offence I'm not religious
Villa are above them in the league
Forest are doing better than they did last season, but Villa are doing better by far.
O'Neill got himself the sack. Took over a decently talented group of players just a few points off the playoffs, and not only played turgid, cautious, unimaginative football, but elected to 'experiment' with rotations on a whim and developed bizarre vendettas against the more creative members of the squad. But all the 'das' were happy in spite of going nowhere because we had an old legend in the dugout to relive the glory days. I was pretty relieved when he was replaced.
He actually has one of the highest win rates of any Forest manager. And came in mid season and never got a pre- season. He feels he didn’t get a proper shot at it. I don’t blame him. But obviously I’m a thousand per cent happy with the man in charge now and the miracle he’s performed with us. In Coops we trust.
Maybe his pride was hurt by what happened to him which is understandable. He's a professional and he just couldn't get the club to where it wanted to go. That must hurt especially taking into account his past with Forest. I for one still and always will hold him in the highest regards with Nottingham Forest, regardless of what he says or feels. Martin O'Neill is a Forest legend.
He needs to watch his 19 games back! Apart from the win Vs Derby his tenure was like watching football from a bygone age! He arrived 10 to 15 years too late!
Sorry to hear this Martin, you’re always a legend to us ❤
Love Martin O'Neill, no messing with him.
While it's disappointing to hear him say that, there were more than a few Forest fans who were extremely abusive towards him.
@@user-tn8uu2cu8g No thank you, I don't believe in fairy tales.
Love Martin and he is a legend at Forest, but his time as a manager at Forest was poor, he mentioned the 40% win rate… it definitely didn’t feel like it !
3 wins in a row once we couldn't make the playoffs just shows stats can be misleading. Awful football
@@NffcR 100%. We all wanted it to work for him but it just didn’t work out. Unfortunately his football is outdated. Mid table at best….
He was pants as a manager, great player. Pearce similar, but...
Talk sport does my head in sometimes, let people speak and finish what they want to say for crying out loud 🤐
Martin O'Neil is one of the legends.❤
Such good players that jim had to read them all from his phone
Forest fan here. Martin is brilliant.
@@user-tn8uu2cu8g Fair enough but Martin O Neill is better than Allah.
As a Forest fan I do not blame Martin one bit, some of our fans were calling him and Roy dinosaurs. Probably the same fans that were calling for Cooper to be replaced only last week following a draw at home to Luton and a defeat at Anfield. Martin was doing a good job at Forest, far better than the guy that replaced him.
Nah, the Cooper out brigade is a small minority of twitter users, by the time O'Neill had torched our promotion hopes he had half the fanbase against him.
Hurts to see Martin say this 😢 as a forest fan always looked up to him
Martin is a good guy and a Forest legend, always in the Hall of Fame. As a manager he may have not done well enough or may have needed more games or didnt have the right players. Naturally he will feel bad about getting the sack but we dont know the boardroom politics that he had to face..... in any case all true Forest fans should respect him rather than slam him
Martin o Neill is a legend
LET HIM SPEAK!!!!!
He failed us as a coach, as a player totally different.
Shame you're so bitter towards the Forest fans despite it being the owner who bombed you out for doing a terrible job. If you'd done a job like Cooper, maybe you'd still be in management!
100%
Brilliant journalism. Didn’t let him answer and put words in his mouth.
Martin can be so funny at times 😁
We love you Martin o'Neill at forest . Just wish we had got you as a manager 10yrs ago
I love Aiwoniyi on NF, I think if he was on a better team he’d be scoring more goals…. But that said I like the direction this club is going in, Coopers game plan and the players dedication against Villa was impressive.
behave chaika.san or the boys will be paying you a visit 😎
Simon and Martin together backed up by Jim…. So good
Sir Simon = Top LAD Proper Clobber 💯 Facts
Sir LFC Spectre & Sir Simon Jordan = top LADS Proper Clobber 💯 Facts 👌✊️

I love Martin O’Neil on the show with Simon Jordan and Jim white he definitely adds a lot
Sorry Martin mate cooper got us promoted I’m afraid you didn’t. So unprofessional of him.
Forest did well against an excellent team
One of the worst managers we’ve had in my lifetime. Absolute dinosaur
Something happened behind the scenes with O'Neill's sacking why he was sacked I do not know
Seeing these three together just makes me laugh. 😂 Paddy Englishman, Paddy Scotsman and Paddy Irishman?
Anybody remember these jokes? What was the best one you heard? 😆 Good craic.
@user-tn8uu2cu8g Listen! If you want to be a servant to a god, that's fair enough. But I'm not interested in sharing your beliefs.
1:45 in...not let him speak yet.
Sour grapes Martin. You did a terrible job as a manager. Always respect you as a player.
Somewhat misleading headline
Like Martin you can understand why he feels the way he does
@@user-tn8uu2cu8g nah
This week on the "Simon & Jim Show"
Rather strange comment, given his 10+years at our club. Oh well.
Simon definitely got a semi on when Martin mentioned Margaret Thatcher.
we have a younger better DOF already in Tim Steidten at West Ham there is no way DS would work with him as a DOF.
I had to stop watching this because the 2 other guys would not stop interrupting Martin - please try shutting up and give the guy a chance to speak!
Forest Legend. End of.
Yes he should’ve been manager much sooner, probably after Clark, definitely after Bassett but he should’ve been given longer when he was there
Thanks be to Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Give yourself to Jesus and he will heal you and nourish you.
Praise be to God.
Forest should have tried to get O'Neill long before they did and I feel the didn't really give him long enough but I am kinda glad they didn't in the end.
I do also wonder if O'Neill might have been asked about Forest a lot earlier and he just didn't go for it. Will never know, but we won't forget what he did as a player.
Bit like ROI. Seems like he's few chips on his shoulder. He's bigger and better then that
Martin is a star and shoukd be on everyday.
The West Ham board should be careful what they wish for.
You should have gone after 10 games not wait until 19 Forest played the worst hoofball under you.
Last time Forest played good football was under Mark Warburton
That’s always been his style
Come one Martin, why so bitter over our club? It wasn't the fans that sacked you.
He loves us……..stop pretending Martin 😂😂
What dreadful radio! Woeful
it sounds like Moyes is going to the middle east. Nowt to do with a new contract at West Ham..
I LOVE O NEIL FOREST FOREVER ❤️💥🏐🥅⚽
After watching his style of football I fell out of love with football. Glass houses and all that,
David Moyes has spent over £450 MILLION on players with most of them leaving within a year at a loss, he plays the most negative football imaginable, he will not play our talents kids even in the Micky Mouse league cup, the MAJORITY of the WHU fans have had enough of him, he needs to GO!
He's the best you can get. Managers better than Moyes get to go to better clubs than WHU.
It's funny how Simon Jordan's view flips with the breeze about West Ham. His lack of knowledge about the overall performance of the team since the end of 2021 is so uninformed and clearly based on the MOTD summaries and what his boardroom mates are saying.
I'm a life long Forest fan, I fall out of love with them most weeks!
Slagged off cooper a couple of weeks ago after drawing with Luton!!!
Nothing to panic about as a Villa fan. Yes we lost but really we did enough to get something from the game but it was on us that we didn’t get it.
Just gotta make sure we get it right at Villa park Thursday and Sunday against AZ and Fulham.
Disagree, Villa were pretty toothless and need to improve if they want to get involved with the top 6, Forest were never in trouble from a team that had scored 11 goals in their previous 3 games.
@@RichardM-kv4uu Totally disagree with that statement, looking at the match statistics Villa totally dominated the game in every aspect bar the final score, fair play to Forest for getting the three points the second goal took the sting out of the game, if that goal didn’t happen I’m more than confident Villa would have won the game quite comfortably.
@@paulmersonvillalegend1192 Did you see the game? Villa could have been out there until now and still not scored. There's more to football than posession stats.
Maybe Martin should apply for the caretakers job at Forrest, he’s not in a job now so that speaks volumes
Martin has got fabulous history with our club and that was donkeys years ago, I’d rather we create more history it could be worse he could be like John McGovern and milk a living turning up to the opening of an envelope. It’s history move on, Forest is a different club today.
He was treated pretty poorly by ghe club when he was manager. A prickly character of course
Guess he owes the fans nothing. At the same time doesn’t say that much. Desperately wanted him to succeed as manager but it really didn’t work. 🦖 🦕
God forbid Martin has a chance to speak
I fell out of love with him when he did an awful job managing Forest.
He shouldn’t have taken the job to be honest, you can’t ever really go back

Dry your eyes .. they’ve move foward and done better than you
LET THE MAN SPEAK FFS
Snake. You should never fall out of love for it. It's like saying you don't like football altogether
He has another club I guess
Yes he does 🦊
A proper relationship is mutually beneficial and clearly he felt wronged by Forest

Sorry Martin, but your management was dated and the players knew it
Well he obviously made the correct decision didn’t he in the end our Greek god.
Martin is a stand offish cold character himself or he was when he was Ireland manager so he can't be crying over a club bombing him out for doing a bad job
