rules for not getting scammed (has worked for me) 1. don't be stupid, think with logic and proceed with caution. 2. double/triple check trades especially more expensive trades. 3. if it is too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true.
I think you'd get the items back if you gamble higher sums of money. Not returning items for say a few hundred dollars wouldn't be as bad for a company's reputation as if they didn't give back more valuable items.
I don't mean to be a scumbag, but im guessing CSGO lotto wouldn't have reached out to give the items back if it were any regular person, other than a pro like simple
How did summit not notice the asiimov? First of all you should look out for it and second every skin was gray while the asiimov was bright white and orange
When there are a ton of stuff on the same list, you generally won't notice there is something wrong within the list, especially when the trade system is so simple and all you have to do is to click a button to trade (although you now have a mobile authenticator to stop it). This is especially true for the dragon lore because the small picture of the dragon lore is dull in color which is not easy to spot at once (unless you are highly alerted).
*Trading 1500$* items *not being highly alerted* Wow its almost like its crazy these people have thousands of $$ in virtual skins but are poor in real life. WHO KNEW? (obviously not summit1g).

ItzCrafting Well, that guy was just stupid. If you bet with skins and trade a lot, you SHOULD know that the items you are giving are at the upper side of the trade. PLUS you ALWAYS double check the trade (in my case, it's more like checking it 100 times :))
I just got scammed for my butterfly knife this morning. It worked on the scammers behalf. He said he would give me a statrack fn m4a4 hyper beast. But no. I got a ww hyper beast
I know, but it is basically stealing. For example these people who ask for money through internet or these ads that popup which tell you about how to make money. Many of those have been sued and even won. It is scamming as well. Of course you are stupid if you don't pay attention but I think that if you can show evidence of the scam it should be a ban for the scammer (trade ban at least). You make some good points, I like the idea of having an actual rep counter, the +rep thing doesn't really work, because the person can delete all the -rep comments anyway
Exactly :) But yeah Valve should really step up their shit about this stuff. I mean what is the point in having a report button? It's like I can comment to the scammer's (or someone else's profile) "Reported you. lol" and he could keep on going fearless :D

This has to be the most retarded comment I've read today on youtube. So you are saying people should buy things that are only useful? Let me ask you a question. Why do you buy soda instead of water when you are in a club or a bar or somewhere? Let me guess. Because you enjoy soda far more than you enjoy water. Guess what. These players enjoy skins far more than default weapons in CSGO. Drinking soda is not useful same as skins, but you enjoy these things more than regular products.
