Shall I compare thee to a summer's day Thou art more lovely and more temperate: Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer's lease hath all to short a date; Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines, And often is his gold complexion dimm'd; And every fair from fair sometime declines, By chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd; But thy eternal summer shall not fade, Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st; Nor shall death brag thou wander'st in his shade, When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st: So long as men can breathe or eyes can see, So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate. Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer’s lease hath all too short a date. @Julian Rodriguez It is what he is most known for as an actor in mobster movies, yes. Not saying that he isn't know for other roles, but that's like saying that your first impression of a Jim Carrey performance doesn't bring up ideas of Ace Ventura and Dum and Dumber, even though the actor has done many other roles in his lifetime those are his most iconic. Al Pacino is always a rough and tumble cop or mobster in the vast majority of his movies and he largely plays a similar character.
What a wonderful gift Mr. Pacino! thanks very much from a Shakespeare's and Pacino's admirer
I really enjoyed the different pace that this reading
offered
I love that he emphasised the iambic pentameter
Goosebumps
Shall I compare thee to a summer's day
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all to short a date;
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st;
Nor shall death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st:
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

You can totally see Shakespeare as a Godfather type from this reading!
