ADOPTION ROCKS!!! My hubs and I are adoptive parents. We are blessed to have a beautiful daughter who runs hard after the heart of Jesus! It took over 2 years for us to get her and another 15 months to finalize BUT September 11, 2001 she became legally ours. Back up to the day we picked her up - she was 2 days old - the adoption counselor put her in my arms and I felt that feeling of “I just became a mommy! Yes! Our God is an Awesome God!!!

It's an amazing story. The US is the only place where adoption can happen like that and sometimes it breaks my heart that we (not from the US) have to go through years and years of training, evaluation and waiting before adoption can happen, while there are so many waiting children, and so much trauma could be avoided. I'm glad it worked out this way for you. Wishing you much happiness. War Eagle!
The other side of the medal is that the US is also the only place where rehoming of adopted children is a regular occurrence while it is just not even imaginable in most other countries

Was it somebody from your church that you adopt the baby from or did you go to the state to adopt a baby cause I would like to know because I cannot have children on my own and I would love to try to adopt a baby but I don’t know how to go about doing anything
It was a local adoption but no one we knew. Just Gods provision and the connection with the local sav a life

My parents had adopted my sister and knew they wanted another girl but the agency kept having boys being born and my parents said nope we want another girl! I was born in the blizzard of ‘78/‘79! My mom was having to shovel the driveway multiple times a day so my dad would be able to drive his car into the driveway after work! There was no answering machines back then! The adoption agency kept calling and my mom kept missing the call! On the last ring my mom answered! If she had missed the call they were going to move onto the next family on the list since I needed a place to go! It was meant to be! I’m so lucky!

Have mixed thoughts and emotions.
Never understood how parents discard their children .
The birth mother did the lesser evil by putting her child for adoption. Many babies are aborted for being girls or murdered on the spot in a trash bag.
I am glad that baby Cruise is now in the arms of a God-fearing , loving family to raise him.
The whole family is kind and tender hearted towards each other, comforting the big sister by her brothers, and mother is priceless.
