I like when shooting is hard and borderline inconsistent, people are actually passing for a better shots now rather than jacking any and every shot they can. Every playing humble and i fw it.
@@ImChrisJones92 is it bad defence tho? If they can't shoot then why guard them on the perimeter? In practice, bad shooters should be good cutters/slashers/screen setters. That's how they punish the defence for not respecting them.
Shooting pissing me off this year. I shot around 60% last year, now I’m shooting 30%. MyCourt is not a good barometer for shooting. It’s on rookie mode. That’s why you can hit 30 in a row in there Bt go 1/7 in the rec. Changing the settings only apply to the modes listed. So you have to create a fake proam team and go in pro am to shoot around for the actual timing. And they confirmed that RNG is back in the game for shooting
Shooting is definitely interesting this year. They put every type of shooting option that ever existed in a 2k in this one game. The only thing i don’t like is that they put the visual cue bar in the jumpshot creator and it’s not made clear which one will give the same timing as the one in the settings. Like you can move the bar to “push” but where do you need to put the bar within push to get the timing you’re used to😂
So what’s wrong with going to play in proving ground if you want high risk? So the casual guys can just play the game a few times a week and still enjoy it.
@@pootpipe it has nothing to do with casual, it just ruins the fun when you play perfect defense and someone mistimes their shot and makes it. If you can’t time a jumper that you use all the time you probably shouldn’t be making a build that’s required to shoot the ball

I don't want to see shooting changed. The game feels way more realistic than ever before with people having hot streaks and cold streaks. The great players are still shooting 50% and above. It's up to everyone else to figure out their shots and find a visual cue that works for them.
I made a PG with 95 pass accuracy and i love it playing with my boys in rec, Throwing dimes and flashy passes are my favorite thing to do and the missing shots is annoying af 10 assists would easily be 15-20, i only have a 78 three so i dont three hunt at all but i can hit if wide open. Still havent found the go to jumpshot yet tho. Had a few i was lights out with in My court but in stead of making a new shot i would just edit the one i made like an idiot and i forgot the tuning 🤦🏿 but it was money. I try to make jumpshots the are not too animated. I only shoot wide open so i dont need a super fast release just one i can time effectively. I think everybody should do their own thing and not listen to ppl tell u what shots to use they are just spamming vids for clicks. Find a shot that YOU can make. Plus all they shots are oscar Robinson release A++ speed with 97 three on a 6'2. I dont want to be like anybody else on this game. Its too easy to have your own styles and be creative outside the Meta and be effective and most importantly have fun. And they game is fun. FOR NOW LOL.. Cry baby patches coming soon.
Proving Grounds is basically HOF difficulty and forced on High-Risk and is the differentiator this year. Anyone who cares about their stats, can only talk on Proving Grounds. Normal stats are somewhat irrelevant (as it should be, because unless you comp, who cares what you're shooting) but allows the other modes to be more casual. Because hawking a 70% WP in the Rec, means nothing if you're unranked and no one will care. Hopefully means the casual aspect of the community returns and they stick around a lot longer than 22-23-24... Keep up the content, 2k25 feeling good so far!
I think they trying to make everyone start using rhythm shooting with the right stick . If you can master that than you can shoot maybe a higher percentage but I tried it and it's hard to get use to or even master it. I want to shoot with the button
Rhythm shooting is very awkward to use , especially as a primary ball handler ( pause ). I think rhythm shooting can be utilized by catch and shoot players giving they don’t have to dribble .
@@ImChrisJones92 facts !! I can understand if you are wide open but it feels awkward doing it. Also I don't even think you can do a moving shot with it . But I think 2k intended for that to be the more consistent shot but it's not working out
In a sense not really. I play stage and pro am fairly regularly and in those settings I have to already have a built up muscle memory for high risk. I don’t think it’s that people are sleeping… they just don’t want to get comfortable if they plan on playing at a higher level.
Also You dont have to make a custom jumpshot. Some NBA players have good jumpshots sometimes we make it more difficult than it should be. Also your camera view matters too. I shoot best on Drive camera because it looks the same everytime you shoot..maybe change your camera..zoom it in so you can see
Im a casual and I’m shooting consistently. High risk high reward. If you have a slow jumper speed it up using the release speed bar, to fast? Tune it down. I’m using the same jumper from last year. Only difference is last year I had my jumpshot speed bar maxed out, this year I had to keep it tuned down on normal release. Folks just throwing shit on and not labbing in between tuning the jumper in the jump shot creater.

But what about the people who blatantly leave people open because of the shooting? Why should bad defense be rewarded.?

I wish they only had high risk it’s so frustrating seeing someone mis time their shot and it goes in

What you also didn't factor in was Set shots and rhythm shooting on top of the shooting difficulties.

Put it on push normal risk bar all the way down on Push shot timing cue saved my life
