I'm right with you, Chuck! I know I am also biased as a Pennsy boy, but there is nothing like Pennsylvania black walnut! By the way, I really do love when Deb runs the mill! My wife watches, and she is inspired by Deb's work! 👍💪
I love when the slab is planed or sanded, the the real beauty comes out. Enjoy you two working, after watching and listening to your explanations I feel I could almost run a sawmill. Keep the videos coming. Stay safe my friends
Hello Deb and Chuck. Great camera angles! That’s some beautiful wood. Lots of good info and I learned a lot. Would love to learn how to work a sawmill some day. It’s very interesting to me. Thanks for the video. Have a great week.
I sure do, the sunset looked a little smokey, sorry about that if your getting any of the smoke from Calif. We are on fire again here. Sure like seeing Deb run the mill.
After we see this, we can image this being transformed into a stunning table painted with super brilliant expoxi, very good, congratulations for the good work done.

@@eues803 we do have a video of a cherry bar top, and some ash Dutch lap siding getting the finish applied. We want to get into our shop to work, but we are so busy with the mill. We will keep that in mind though. Thank you.
I know evey location has its own problems not sure if you have any problem with getting bugs. I have a solar kiln and do have the capability of doing a heat cleansing but was wondering what do you do about keeping them out while air drying
I've had a few thoughts of re-doing the tiki bar top and now this confirmed it for me, that's what I'm gonna do. Just gotta find the right log...lol. Man those slabs turned out nice! I noticed you didn't sticker them and just stacked them back up into log form...was that just to get them picked up or will you leave it like that?
A live edge tiki bar top would look amazing. Check our past videos of the live edge cherry bar top. It may give some ideas. The biggest thing is to make sure the wood is properly dried.
Ms Deb said hold my beer, I got this, sit over there and look pretty.
Your exactly right alabamamanus1.

Great slabs. Nice log splitter behind you. Ever do a video on it?
Thank you very much. We want to incorporate the splitter into the channel. Keep an eye open for it in future videos.
Yes. I think 1 so far it was a short one.

Maybe the theme to Captain America

We just don't have annissue, but we are prepared. A pump sprayer with a borax solution in water. Spray it on the boards, and you are good.
Who DOESN’T like black walnut?
You got that right Bruce.
Not sure Bruce :)

Great looking walnut. Do you sell them by the slab or board foot. Do you ship? Thanks for sharing. God Bless.
Thank you Jim. We sell by the board foot most times. We have not shipped any yet. We have to find a freight company to deal with.
Some live edge?
Absolutely. Love the live edge.
Yes Robert. Take Care

You know when you see images in the clouds. I saw a boy in the dark grain at the end of the board.

You have some very valuable walnut logs here. Question: why wasn’t the debarker running? Black walnut bark is brutal on saw teeth
Sometimes we don't want the debarker cut on the live edge. Other times, we don't want Deb to have to worry about the debarker. One step at a time. :)
