in 1970 we got to tour the factory and recieved a folder full of samples. its completely different now
Same here. My folks took me to the one in California. We really did tour the factory and I used the sample kit for a science fair project on chocolate.
cool! our tour was in Hershey Pennsylvania
Hunter RedBlood I went in the 1980 every year it looks so different but still cool
MMM A WHOLE FOLDER FULL?
The girl needs to watch WILLY WONKA ....she’s a bad egg
That little girl is entering the teenager stage for sure 😂 so funny. Not impressed at all!
I was thinking the same thing. The "not impressed" stage. 😒
Yeah, she is very cool! :)
Poor Anna, she is definitely reaching that stage, happens to them all.
Karen Johansen not really im 17 and this still is interesting :)
Nicola Yeah it made the video less enjoyable.
His daughter is like
"I'm not havin it".
Lol ☺
Anna didn't look real enthused to be there lol! Not what I expected to see but I guess that's progress! Cool video Jacob thanks for sharing!
Indeed LOL
I was in Hershey twice, once in the Seventies and once in about 1987. The first time I went, Hersheypark was still being built, and it actually was a factory tour, along a hallway and you could see them making chocolate behind big windows. The second time we went, we stayed at the Hershey campground, and the version of Chocolate World then was a lot different - less emphasis on selling merchandise, the atrium had a lot of cool tropical plants, including cocoa plants with actual pods attached. Also, the tour was a lot less "dumbed down" and more educational.
The Aztecs drank xocolatl, a spiced drink. I don't think you could get favorable effects from smoking choclate.
OMG! Anna's becoming a teenager! Didja see that look she gave u? LOL.
TheSWolfe my mom and scared me to much even give them a dirty look lol
wow that girl seemed upset for some reason , I am always happy to go to Hershey park
Reason = age ... lol
That’s why they say Hershey Park happy! Lol she wasn’t feeling it.
You can get that great big Hershey kiss at Walmart for 8 dollars.
Jacob , About sad Anna , those early teen years are some rough ones ,
Those talking and singing chocolates are nightmare fuel! lol
Loved the tour! Thanks for sharing!
I haven't been there since I was 14 I'm 61 now. Sure has changed. Thanks for the video CB.
61 is a good age ! Not annoying adolescent anymore .. :-)
The chocolate chicken sauce was probably more like a mole sauce (mo-LAY).
I used to work at Hershey Park in 2015 the Ride in the video was up dated three times this was latest up date to the ride. it was created when they stopped doing tours in the old Hershey factory back in the 70's when people kept stealing candy of the line. the old factory was torn down in 2015 but some of it still remains
i remember the factory tour in the early 70's, i was 4-5 then. I remember there were streetlights shaped like the kisses, all i remember from the factory was seeing windows with the foil covered eggs in it, also remember some place called storybook forest and dutch wonderland with a castle & monorail, looked like a Disney rip-off.
remember! she's not sad!
I miss the ride from the 90's.
I live close by, and we used to go often. It's changed so much. 😔😔
I prefer the original ride much more than this, they were alot less in your face about the mascots!
AKU THE DESTROYER what was it like? When I was little, the mascots were my favorite part!
I grew up like 15 minutes from this place. It was always an interesting weekend trip. It's been awhile
she seemed abit annoyed :p
Murrmor Meerkat true
cloneskiller chill out
She’s a typical teenage girl
They have updated that ride so muc, h I wonder where the old one ended up. Now they focus more on the processing, before they focused more on the history and how Milton Hershey got into business.Still pretty cool. I had to laugh when you said you were going to go in and eat a lot of chocolate, they are in the business to make money! I was surprised they handed out the little candy bar at the end.Your daughter is adorable!
I loved this place when I was a kid! Still do!!
Thsnks Jacob for sharing this with us.
Preteen girl attitude. Makes me glad my daughter is now 26 and she will get a dose of it when my granddaughter gets a few years older! Lol Annabelle is totally not enjoying being there one bit. Lol! 😁
We have a similar experience in the UK, Cadbury World funnily enough...
Again, diabetic by home time.
Oh yeah, you talking about Cadbury Birmingham? Went there all my childhood and still go now. Cadbury world's ride is a lot smaller and old compared to this one
Thanks again for taking us along on the tour. We almost went to Hershey a few years back...we decided against it and went to Gatlinburg instead. Somehow, after watching this, I think we made the right choice. What have they done to Hershey? I think you used to be able to actually tour the factory....now it's just kinda....well....annoying. I can totally understand Anna's attitude...I could feel my I.Q. literally dropping with each moment! Lol...thanks again Jacob...love your videos.
She's not sad, she's just turning into a teenager....Or she has resting sad face.
Hello Jacob,
I found your vlog many moons ago through links on the adamthewoo channel on youtube. I enjoy it a lot.
I live in Ontario, Canada. I would never get to visit the south if not for your adventures.
Thanks for making yourself a part of my day. You keep putting out content, I keep watching. It's a cycle.
Awesome Video Jacob!!! Hershey is a great time. I went there on my senior class trip three years ago!!
I went to that ride when I was either 3 or 4 years old good times
This was awesome! Thanks. I went years ago...they had nothing like this! A lot has changed..nice!
I walked here for over 12 hours ,and it was SO SOOO fun
If you want to take Anna on a REAL Hershey factory tour, bring your passports. I used to haul Hershey products from the Mexico/USA border to Hershey, PA & other distribution centers. Buy M&M products, made in America. The factory they have in Waco, TX gets their electricity using the methane gas from a landfill. That means you're reducing greenhouse gases by eating M&Ms. (No-I don't own M&M stock. It's a private company owned by the family.)
Man, I remember this ride from FOREVER ago!!
I MADE MY PARENTS GO ON THIS AT LEAST THREE TIMES. THEY HATED ME AFTER HEARING THAT SONG THREE TIMES OVER. I was so young, but I remember it so vividly....
This place is so much fun!!!! I love it!
i go to hershey park all the time, almost every year!
Me too! 😂😄
Cool!! Made me crave chocolate....like that's anything new 😒😬
I hope y'all enjoyed the chocolate! Thanks for sharing!
As soon as I saw the cows singing I was like is it just me or am I tripping cause cows don't Sing. Tf am I watching. 😂
Thank you for posting this. I remember going when I was and I loved it I forgot how cheesy the ride was though not to mention I on;t remeber it being so cgi but it probably updated since i was little. thanks for bringng bck memories for me cant belive she isnt impresse dby the amazing choclatey goodness
I live really close to here, it's a pretty cool place to go! Halloween and Christmas especially.
I live like 2hrs from Hershey park, and I remember going on the ride so many times. I also remember that the carts used to be easier to get out of. And one time my uncle jumped out to touch the rollers. He wanted “to see if it was real chocolate”.
Also cocoa is a little different then chocolate. Cocoa has less cocoa butter and sugar and which is what makes chocolate so sweet and creamy. That’s probably why it doesn’t taste like the regular chocolate you think of.
I know the original factory tour in Hershey PA, they use to take you directly into the factory back in the day.
I remember that place.. I miss it. I remember only two times.
The ride has changed so much since 2003
Very neat! Thanks for sharing!
I went to hershey a year or two ago, i liked it a lot and went on the same tour, the most they have done was redo the cars that are now silver and bubble like. And all i gotta say was the food there was expensive, especially if you are feeding a family of four or five, but still good food. And if you want history of chocolate you should have done the chocolate tasting class they had behind you in the food court, it was interesting.
This was pretty cool!
The Independence Day tie-in is that Hershey owns Twizzler, and there's a Twizzler ad running on TV right now that features a guy eating Twizzlers, and the alien ships attack and a piece of rubble falls on his Twizzler, and he wrestles it from under the rubble, and he's happy.
The tour in Oakdale Ca was awesome....
My parents took me there in the 60s.........I think it has changed some.
wow I was their in may during the renovation it really changed
I was there in November just a few days after Thanksgiving!
All right that was our trip to Hersey chocolate world and now have diabetes 😂🤣
wow , been a long time since i was @ Hersheypark! , the tour is way different.
I used to live near there. Been to Chocolate World many times on my way to see hockey at Hersheypark Arena. I think they were going for It's a Small World with a chocolate theme, however you do that.
I went on that ride a REALLY LOOOOOONG time ago and instead of hay and a cat in the overhead barn they had singing cows with pink eyeshadow, lipstick, and really long eyelashes (in the entrance and they had fur and weren't plastic like the others. Like Chuck E. Cheese quality). I haven't been there in an extremely long time and I guess they took them down. 😕
why don't people eat with their mouths closed anymore, it stops all those horrible noises and people don't have to see what you are eating. I must admit that it is one of my bugbears as it seeing and hearing people eating makes me physically ill and unable to eat myself
It must suck to have hangups.
I can’t relate enough man
I remember getting full sized candy bars at the end when I was a kid. but that was 20 years ago.
This ride is awesome! Who doesn't love a free dark ride with free chocolate at the end?
I grew up right down the road in Lancaster PA and we went to Hershey Park all the time. I haven’t been there in years. Your video doesn’t show it so maybe they still play the classic song on the ride. If not, it’s sad they changed it so much.
I remember being in Hershey park back in 2013.
2:37 to 2:57 are my favorite animatronics, (not including the rooster and pig) the cows and calf.
I miss the old designs and song... but that little boy cow is so cute
TRIP to Hershey's chocolate world alright. That tour looked like a bad acid trip from the 60's! Anywho, keep 'em coming C.B. Nice work!
OKAY IF ANNIBEL CANT PRETEND TO BE EXITED...ANNIBEL CAN STAY HOME!!!👍👍👍😝😝😝😝
We went there back in 2006. It was a nice place.
Went there in the mid 80's... wow...
I would be impressed considering sometimes I have the mentality of a small child.
Your videos are so entertaining😀
This needs to go to Hershey Park
your cool man your a good guy your vides are fun i wish you were bigger in the youtube world i watch your vides all the time
Dark rides. So you can experience hallucinations without being insane or on drugs.
Sweet family. Love the videos.
I'm terrified to eat my last hershey's kiss now.
Man looks fun
It's fun whit Derry the cow, nice factory tour
I HATE THIS ONE. I WANT THE OLD TOUR BACK. I NEED MY HARMONY OLYMPIA AND GABBY BACK
I grew up with the old Hershey Tour as smol child, I don't really like the new one. I don't like change sometimes, but I like seeing people enjoy something that I personally don't enjoy. I think is because since PA is my home state and I've been to Hershey a bunch a times, and seem the old opening I think grew to love old instead of the new.
Dairy cow be ideal (home) greeter instead of a doorbell 😂
I need to go in there
Love ur vids bro i can imagine da awesome experience ur in make me wish i was dea too 😮😀if i could get a chance to do a video tour il do my 1st one at Madame Tussuds in Aus. Greetings to u from "The Land of the Long White Cloud" New Zealand 😊👐👍
I went on this years ago and barely remember anything about it. Almost thought I had made it up as a kid, but nope it's real.
Don't know how I missed this video but I'm glad I found it. Anna's growing up isn't she. I have a granddaughter her age and WOW her personality has changed completely. I would love to have one of those BIG chocolate kisses. Maybe for Valentine's Day. Thanks for taking us along with the family. :)
I get to go there every year
They killed my childhood when they removed the cows and replaced them with their shitty mascots. I still remember my family trips to Pennsylvania where we would ride this ride after going to the park with my cousin...
I kinda miss the old version of the factory tour but some of the changes are cool.
She's so sassy. Reminds me of my 10 year old sister lol
I haven't watched the video yet but I know it's going to be great
My mom and I took a trip to Hershey, Pa. and took a tour of what I call the chocolate factory. It is the town where the town smells like chocolate. Sure beats where I live where you get nasty smells of pigs being rendered with a very small and occasional smell of something like bacon or ham.
Yum!!
johnny has found a new gate way to sugar papa is gonna be mad wen he eats all the chocolate
I don't think Annabelle's going to be going anywhere with you anytime soon lol , she looked more annoyed than anything.
u so lucky bruh! i went there as a kid. lol the smells of chocolate got me hungreh!
Scary.
The animatronics aren't bad for this. A little disturbing but good quality
cool!!
Did Anna get to go to the Amusement park? Hersheypark. ..if not that may account for her unhappyness. lol.
I. look forward to each and every one of your videos my favorite was the cat house because I'm a cat owner and cat lover
I was just there!
