wow, good job on your effort to take the right angle of Kampung Air, the foreign government building you meant is actually present day Hainan Association, but I'm not sure what is it before though, cause the name is different and can't see the word properly in the old pic, but I believe it is another chinese association.

Macamana gambar kawasan kampung air 1950 bagitu maju . pada masa sama 20 tahun kemudian tahun 1970 baru ada bangunan besar dbkk di kawasan itu

Kota Marudu.
Fake story After jessel Town/Jessrlon the first chief minister of North Borneo was Peter low in subsequent year Datu Mustapha became second chief Minister of Sabah and replaced Jesselton with New Name Kota Kinabalu And before Jesselton was Api Api /the fire wood village. Then Bandau be Kota Narudu before Malaysia .this story icms not fabricated.
Now only old people know bandau.. long ago my great-grandfather confused with kota marudu name.. my village is rural pitas past the kota marudu town.. when my great-grandfather from KK want go to kota marudu he ask which bus go to BANDAU then the bus station looks confused.. luckily my dad come and tell my great grandfather kota marudu is bandau.. 😂😂 since my father is originally from KK area so he know the name changed.. but lack news on the rural side making old people confused..
