Zakaria : That's what I exactly said in my video my friend. It's still a very good choice after one year. I still use it as my daily driver and I am completely in love with it. Superb performance, fast robust stable software, good battery life and solid build quality is what makes this phone a good choice specially when almost all Flagships in 2015 are suffering with heat and battery issues.

great review....htc is one of those few mfr. who does things differently. Currently I'm rocking both one m8 and one m7. Must say both of them are awesome especially the boomsound speakers. they put any smartphone to shame period.

I have two phones, a new Galaxy Note 5 and my M8. My M8, with the latest international firmware and the latest nightly build of Cyanogenmod (9-17-2015), runs ALMOST as fast as the new Note 5 launching apps (not an exageration) and beats it multitasking. In addition, the battery life is fantastic. I've also found that with firmware updates and updates to the HTC camera app (works on Cyanogenmod) the camera quality has improved significantly. Coupled with the best build quality I think ever existed on a cell phone, it's still a winner.

Thanks for the info. It remains one of my favourite phones in my all time list even with Sense let alone CyanogenMod. Enjoy mate ☺

Wow i was always looking for this guy. Had an htc one m7 but it had battery and overheating issues.
How long does it take the m8 to charge?
Do you use fast charging ?
And does it gets warm often?
    Let me know :) thanks

M7 did have heating issues as the Snapdragon 600 wasn't the most cool and efficient customer. Battery life was average as well as HTC didn't put enough capacity ( only 2300 mAh) inside. M8 was a complete 360 degree change in every department. Superb performance, no heating issues, world class battery life and best in class optimizations made it win several Phone of The Year 2014 awards. It does get warm under intense use but nothing too much to worry about. Yes M8 supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 due to the presence of Snapdragon 801 inside. Standard HTC charger has 1.5 A which is arite but not fast enough. I use Motorola Turbo Charger to fast charger it every now and then. It's till this date is my favourite Android smartphone of all times followed closely by the LG G4 in second place. Hope my answer helps. Good luck

Yeah thanks for the detailed info man.
Just what i wanted to know.
I'd just like to ask with moto turbo charger how long does it take to charge from 0-100 ?

Aaqib Bora I hardly let it go down to 0% but I would say approximately just over an hour.

Boomsound was one of the reasons I got the m9 BOOMSOUND MAKE YOU SPOILED... along with the buttery smooth sense software and their optimization....it's still the best skin on any android to date.... Yes the battery is bigger but not better, you will finish the day with the same results... and as for the camera you will need an A level to take good pictures, you will need to tweak the settings for every situation... it's not a point and shoot like the m8 but it does out class the m8 and most mobile phone cameras to date if you know what you're doing but only out doors situations! Really happy with the m9 but yes you cannot go wrong with the m8.

Boomsound is indeed very mesmerising and the rest of the package on both the M8 and M9 is indeed a class act. Sense can't be beaten completely agree.

does one m8 eye supports fast charging??

    • @JTheAndroidFreak
      @JTheAndroidFreak  9 років тому

M8 EYE has the same Snapdragon 801 as on the M8 so I don't see no reason why it shouldn't.

In a way yes & no. It's still solid however won't be getting anymore updates. I would look for something else in 2017.

You will not be disappointed. Even after keeping it for one year I am still struggling to sell it lol. I need to generate money to buy newer phones but this damn phones is just so Addictive. Non laggy performance, strong battery life, outstanding set of Boomsound Speakers and excellent software and hardware makes one hell of a phone to own. Good luck
