@@SomethingSomethingg When I still went to school I barely used my phone. But I didn't trust it being in these magnet things so I did the same thing and just kept it in my bag.
Yeah same our school is only allowed to use them to buy food for lunch and then they go back into the bag, I understand that a lot of students use them in class but we should be allowed them at lunchtime because it our own time to do what we want and so what if that thing just so happens to going on our phones? Yeah putting them in the bag during class understandable but this is going to be very hard for the people with social anxiety(coming from someone with social anxiety) because sometimes the only thing that is confronting for them in social parts of school is to go on there phone.
It's the same for my school. Minus the pouch, yet obviously the admin was faced with a different problem, all of the student population acting crazy, like throwing food, profanity, etc.
I just find it strange as this generation is highly submerged in technology. I find more students use their iPads or computers to ‘relax’ and get away from work. We use a basket for when students misuse their phones which has proved somewhat successful. But teaching students that their personal property can be locked away seems strange. Especially when the reasons why they’re doing it doesn’t fully stop anything. Work still might not get done (iPads, computers), cyber bullying can happen before or after school. Plus the money for materials and etc wouldn’t be sustainable or cheap. Sorry just venting
These are hilariously easy to open. Got $5? go to home depot and find yourself neodymium disc magnets. they're 3/4ths of an inch across and 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch thick and I believe they sell the 1/8 inch ones in packs of 3 for about $4.50 before sales tax. They'll pretty easily open up the pouch.
You don't even need to do that just take a pencil or pen and slide it between the two magnet discs and it should pop open and if your careful it won't break.
For a school setting it would be much easier to have a small clear plexiglass box mounted on each desk with a slot just big enough to slide the phone in. At the end of class the lid can be lifted to retrieve the phone but it makes a sound so they cannot do it during class.
I believe it’s called having a big cabinet/drawer/safe at the front of the class with a lock/password only the teacher knows.............why tf make it a step more costly and complicated with individual pouches?
The pouches have magnets and you know what phones Have problems with magnets right most phones don’t work well with magnets unless you’re talking iPhone 12 but goodbye iPhone 12 come on that’s just overpriced magnets don’t go well with the phones can they just keep my phone safe my teacher dropped my phone and it broke and that phone was a S 20 that I saved up so I had to use my $60 for the phone that I repaired but that screen has a bit of problemsThe screen usually turns off every five minutes
No kidding. These kids are so doomed. Bad parenting. Kids having kids. An indoctrinated nation that thinks they're free. Willing to murder for Capitalism thanks to the mass hypnosis of tell-a-vision. Can't see the hypocrisy of accusing other countries of war crimes. Now Google is officially sentient & parents are going to buy their kids these goggles to live in a luciferian virtual reality (metaverse). Oh, but at least they're WOKE. George Orwell must be looking down in awe.
This isn’t good you know why the magnets will destroy the kids phones and the parents will complain because parents probably pay for the phone so imagine the phone breaks because of the school a potential lawsuit
@@cameronclark2276 Take a pencil try to sleep it within the magnet is not work then get some magnets or a ruler that was usually cost five cents in my place
They should not just rip them open, that is vandalism, destruction of school property and defiance in my book. If you don't like the rules go to a different school. It is a shame that we have to go to those extremes to keep students interested in THEIR OWN LEARNING. To love education to provide better for them in the future and not be uneducated. We give out students too much that is why they are so spoiled. In other countries where opportunities are highly competitive and there is no welfare students walk for miles to go to school, they respect their teachers, they take care of the little bit they have and are hungry for knowledge. We have young people looking at this and immediately trying to defy the system or break it rather than analyze their behavior and understand why things like this and put into place. Their attitudes are what is wrong. Parents don't need to co-sign on their foolishness and stand strong with what is right. They come to school to learn not to be distracted by a device or distracting others, we all know they are messaging each other.
Regarding this situation, I don’t support Yondor. What if a gang started a shooting? We saw that one boy get the magnet stuck temporarily, what if that happened in a dangerous situation and it didn’t unhook?
Except it doesn't work. I have these at my school, and if anything it just makes everyone more distracted thinking about what's going on then if I could just pull it out to check a notification.
Schools with this policy think they’re saving teens souls

As long as you never take out your real phone. And if you can keep your real phone put away, then the school has achieved its purpose.

Yes because none of the teachers cell phones, or the landlines etc will work. They will just instantly stop working...
you shouldn’t have magnets that strong net to your phone for so long
Why exactly? Do you have a phone with a spinning mechanical hard drive?
