I've been listening to the genre for a good 6 or 7 years now, and while I appreciate both the 'light' and 'dark' side of hardcore, my preference now goes towards the lighter, happier form. It brings back memories of happy hardcore and rave, and I don't mind the fact that it commercializes. Just means more people will listen to, and love it.
I know that Noisecontrollers split up and Bas is still working under that alias, but what happened to toneshifterz? Did they also split up or did they completely quit hardstyle?
+nicky8866 Project 1 was a separate project. Bioweapon had split up into Audiofreq and Code Black. They are however back in the studio nowadays. Or at least, some new Bioweapon stuff has been coming lately.

My totally reasonable interpret is that Noisecontrollers are one of the most famous hardstyle dj's, for that if you look in the side bar on the right with the other songs by NC, they all have over 100 000 views, which is a LOT in the hardstyle scene :)
