The angle grinder is perfect for trimming hooves, horse hooves, with a Werkman disk, which looks like a wood carving disc but is specific for hooves. Hoof trimmers who use angle grinders have a hard time finding a tool like this. The more common 4 inch grinders are too big and too noisy and scare the animals. The Hoof Boss is marketed specifically for hooves, but Bosch is the best in my view. Living in the US, I ordered mine from abroad, as they weren't being sold in the US.
A touch up trim requires one battery, but more extensive work, like overgrown walls and bad dorsal angles might end up requiring two 2.0 batteries for just one horse. You can even turn the grinder on its side for targeted overgrown bars. The rasp is still handy for a smooth and level finishing touch, and to sight evenness between heels and overall of the walls.

How do you like it?
I wonder how this compares with the Milwaukee version...?
I've got the Milwaukee M12 FUEL 3" Compact Cut Off Tool, which, I believe, came out before this one. It cuts great, very powerful for it's size, BUT... The spark guard on the Milwaukee is so close to the blade, you can't fit a grinding wheel with a depressed center on it, the disc's center bulge won't clear the guard. You can put the disc on upside-down & use it that way, (I haven't tried it but it does fit), regardless, it's a fools errand & dangerous. You can take the guard right off & the disk will fit that way... It's a pain in the ass though & there goes your spark protection. I could modify the outer edge of the guard & put the disc on that way. 3" grinding wheels are hard to find, & I don't know if you can even buy a flat grinding disc.
Anyway... The Bosch tool will fit that type of grinding wheel, no problem, the spark guard extends further out than the Milwaukee. The Milwaukee tool was never advertised as an angle grinder anyway., just a cut off tool.
