The snow you can go through is called powdered snow and it can obtain using cauldron and let it snow and use bucket to grab the powdered snow

Tip for cookie: from what I’ve heard as of 1.18 the higher you make your mob farms the less rates you would get if you were lower. Building a farm over an ocean and lighting up the caves below is your best bet for the most mob spawns.

So far the 2 worlds ive created looking of a decent seed ive had one that was probably 95% swamp on the starter map then the second was cold and normal taiga biomes with some rivers. And before anyone says i know the biomes were mad bigger in the 1.18.1 update but still i almost found every biome (excluding sub biomes) and not a single plains buome
Sub biomes no longer exist as they were removed due to the new generation in 1.18

My favorite way to go mining in the huge caves is to choose and area, run around and out a torch every once in a while, take out the mobs that are left. Then you just mine everything in that area

I saw a trick to save space when you're making farms. yeah, sugar cane farm neither.
It's pretty simple, just, put the water underneath the farm. Believe me, it helps a lot!👍
